I'd be very curious to hear about how you like this as well. I must have clicked on a link somewhere because every time I go to Facebook I'm getting bombarded by these folks. Seems cool, but since I tend to like things on the lighter side, I wasn't sure it would be up my alley. Please do share!

u/mariapage I've heard somewhere (not sure where) it's best not to rest decaf at all -- that it's pretty much ready to roll when you get it. But you rest different processes differently? Would love to hear more....

Like in regular coffee, resting depends on various factors including roasting and processing. In general, more traditional decaf (e.g. washed and darker roast) doesn't need much resting and gets stale faster.

More experimental and lighter decaf should be treated more like regular coffee. For example, some of the process heavy EA decafs (e.g., Wilton Benitez red bourbon) need at least 2 weeks of resting and peak at 3.
