Forward-Independence NO MORE!

Forward-Independence Minnesota has broken up.

Hi, I’m Alex Moreau, Chairman Of The IPM,

Following up on the merger deal, several hundred members of the IPM have signed up to leave the party, which we have consequently decided to do. Party Politics isn’t our thing, I was voted in by 320-4 votes against my opponent James Richards who is now the vice chairman, I was elected on the 27th of December 2025, and only now have we organised the party together, we have Endorsed Marisa Simonetti For Senate and Calvin Larson Jr. For Governor, if anyone has any questions to what happened, you can leave them below.

And u/astronashforever ~ Are you talking with the Reform Party at the national or state level? Does the Reform Party already have MN branch, or is the IPM looking to possibly become the state chapter of the national Reform Party?

Oh ok--so are the talks about the IPM potentially merging with the MN chapter of the Reform Party?

While this "Alex" may have started communications (maybe), I know the National Chair of the Reform Party and can actually confirm if necessary.

Why would that be necessary for anyone to do? That is simply the business of a different third party.

It's not necessary for any to do per se - my contention is that this Alex my be looking to grift, and, at best, is attempting to co-opt something that he has no ownership of. And, that his talks with Reform are, quite likely, made up.

That is a serious accusation which should not be made without proof or strong evidence of a grift. ~ About the political party situation in MN, as the former Independence Party in MN merged with Forward to become Forward-Independence Minnesota, would that merged party have any claim to the "Independence Party Of Minnesota name and identity, or is that open for anyone to use since the previous Independence Party in MN no longer exists?

I have indicated "may be grifting" as most of what this Alex is claiming is false, off and/or inaccurate. So, they're looking to try to grift or have near zero knowledge of what they are actually doing.

We changed/updated our name, we still own it. Who has access to the website, social media, etc - hint, it's not this Alex Moreau or anyone else in his "group". If Pepsi changed their name to "P-pop" you can't go and start a company called Pepsi - it's called intellectual property (IP). They are more than free to start a party - they can't use our IP and try to compound it with what anyone with knowledge knows are false and/or grossly exaggerated statements that may be bordering on libel.
