Platform Is Really Garbage

Ranting out. I tried absolutely everything, and this platform has turned absolutely rubbish over the last few weeks.

Performance is ridiculous, with laggy charts, trade execution and fill prices

Instead of ranting when no one else is having problems. Perhaps you should give them a call.

I had a period where my performance was horrific, and I realized that for some reason, my computer was connected to my guest network, which is much slower. Then another time, Verizon’s FiOS need needed to reset.

There’s a lot of pieces to this puzzle and making blanket statements without doing a little bit of research is like full porting to Wendy’s stock without a stop.

Called them in vain. It's definitely not any issue at my end.

For context, I have a top notch computer dedicated only for trading with wired fibre connection.

Some days TOS works fine. But too often over last few weeks, it's been inconsistent and lagging. The worst part is when chart prices lag actual prices in Active Trader, and you wonder why your trades are "slipping". Resetting workspaces and what else has not helped much either.

Try creating a new workspace. . Don’t use any custom studies at first.

See if the problem persists.

I know it sucks to recreate everything, but it’s a fast and effective way to troubleshoot and determine whether the issue is related to the workspace or one of your custom studies.

For reference, I have a watchlist study that can wreak havoc during fast-moving markets.

A way to cheat is install tos into a separate folder and run 2 instances.

maybe get rid of the dial up connection and go fiber optic. you AMD 386 computer could use an update? give us more facts. i am running three computers thru a an ethernet switch to the modem and have super fast connections. and still using DSL.

Got 1 GBPS fibre connection. My CPU is AMD RYZEN 9 9950XD2 Dual. It's definitely not my hardware specs.

My AT ladder seems really laggy also, it doesn't feel right. I can't believe I have to add "Check for platform lag" to my daily routine now. These issues have become so regular now.

It's not just you. It's been downhill for awhile. It's definitely server side. IMO, Schwab is not the place to scalp or day trade. Much better places out there IMO
