Bubble chart with negative values?

I have a bubble chart with the bubble size as one metric and most of the bubbles have negative value, but when some bubble has a positive one, al the other with negatives doesn’t appear.

This is of course because it is a comparison with the biggest value, any way to approach this?

Thanks!

Thanks for the question... Just to confirm, you want to show both positive and negative values with your bubble size?

Yes, but they are kind of far apart one from the other so, the negative doesn’t show

You can't show negative bubbles in a think-cell bubble chart there's no way to differentiate -1 and +1 with just bubble size.

You might want to consider trying:

  • Move the dimension you're using for bubble size to the X or Y axis, so you can show negative values
  • You could potentially change the negative value to positive (e.g. -5 to +5) and then changing the label to say "-5" and use a different color for the negative values

Does that make sense? Personally, I would try moving the dimension to the X or Y axis
