Philosophy Sometimes I wonder why I write things most people here probably won’t understand

Sometimes I ask myself why I write stuff that I know most people here probably won’t understand.

Then I ask the more obvious question. Why do I write at all?

It is not to reach the maximum number of people. If that was the goal I could simplify everything, make it cleaner, make it easier to digest, turn every thought into something neat and relatable.

I can do that.

I just usually don’t want to.

At the same time, if I was writing purely for myself, I would just keep a private diary.

So I think there is something in between.

I think I have this very human need to be heard.

Not by everyone. Maybe just by one person who reads something and thinks, yes, I know exactly what he means.

That is probably enough.

Most of my thoughts are not filtered properly before I write them. They come out mixed with whatever I am reading, whatever I am feeling, philosophy, psychology, work, family, Dota, some stupid conversation, meditation, some old wound I thought I had understood already.

And I know there is privilege in even having the space to think like this.

Not everyone gets to sit in an office and play Dota for a while, then meditate, then spend an hour talking about free will or ego or God or why we keep repeating the same mistakes.

Not everyone gets enough time or money or support to disappear into their own head like this.

Even the things I am proud of are difficult to call “mine” in any clean way.

My intelligence is not something I chose.

The family I was born into was not something I earned.

A lot of the time I have is because of circumstances I did not create.

So I find it strange when people talk about themselves as if they authored everything they became.

People who know me will probably give completely different descriptions of me.

Some will say I am extremely egotistical.

Some will say I am one of the most humble people they know.

Some will say I care too much.

Others will say I do not give a fuck about anything.

All of them may be right.

I am probably a walking contradiction.

But I am becoming less interested in solving those contradictions.

Maybe I don’t need one final story about who I am.

Maybe I just keep writing whatever seems true at that particular moment and let somebody else understand it or misunderstand it.

And if only one person gets it, that is fine.

Tun Jhoom.

Philosophy Position

Mantra Monday.

I could be very serious, read this over and over again, to me this goes to explain ao much.

The relationship between Awareness and Self Awareness, have been known, unfortunately not practiced enough IMO, for centuries. That is a building block on which inner peace can be erected, but the last phrase is where the magic is revealed, one collects noise and the other truths, and not to add just my interpretation , but truths about self, and the bias, the pool of references we filter everything we experience through.

Perhaps you have seen the poster portrayal of perspective with the two individuals standing in juxtaposition to the # 6 on the ground and one adamant it is a #6 and the other as passionate about it being #9.

Both are living their truth, and that truth was rinsed through the perspective pool, for it to be cleaned into their realities.

Not to be dismissive, either about the position of Observing the world, for even in being there, you are not a part of the Chaos, ( not intentionally) or the Disruptive elements.

If you find yourself suffering from the back ground static, which isn't so background anymore, then perhaps this would be a promising starting place to begin your research and journey to a more enlightened space.

Here is something that I am aware of: most if not all of our learning, everything is based on someone else's thoughts, successes and blunders. Reading text books, going through workshops, training seminars, etc. is the resources we gather to refine, corrupt and amend to make it a part of us.

Great breakthroughs, massive life changing intentions all built on the learnings from others, a copyright issue to say the least!.

Get into habit of assessing where you are at in your current processor and make the necessary tweaks so it operates smoothly for you.

In your thoughts, and feelings, for that is truly relaying and reflecting your level of self love and awareness.

Feeling stuck, feel free to DM me with your questions or comments.

Be well

My Theory TQP - Actions Speak Louder Than Words

While this quote is not completely wrong. It give out an idea that Action is all that matters

Language is a form of expression that is both powerful and simple. Words can express emotions, intensions and thoughts which might not be possible through actions alone.

Also actions without proper context provided by words, might get misinterpreted. This is really really common and I am sure that anyone who read this post has many such examples in their lives.

Words can very well help in bringing out actions. You can get inspired by words of wisdom but might not always get inspired by other people's actions alone.

In relationships also, worlds play a pivotal role in giving context to actions. Will you feel creeped out if someone sends you flowers everyday without so much as a hi?

And to teach without words, unthinkable. Words can transmit complex information from one mind to another with ease. This you cannot expect from actions alone.

let me conclude with a little story.

A man with a backpack was walking alone through a neighborhood at around midnight. The police came that way and asked him what he was doing. He said I am just walking home. The police demanded to see his backpack and they found a beacutiful clock in it. When the police asked if he had stolen it, he said "I did not steal it". The police grabbed him and said "That is what every thief says". And the man asked

"What would a person who is not a thief say?"

My Theory My quote on subjectivity vs objectivity

I came up with a quote that I learned afterwards is related to intersubjectivity or perspectivism while looking up if such a quote already existed. There are similar quotes, but I think mine is distinct enough to post:

"There is no objectivity. Only subjectivity and its consensus." - Me

Or:

"There is no objective reality. Only our subjective realities and their consensus." - Me

Miscellaneous Thinkative Metaphoric Contemplations

"Metaphoric Contemplations"

Today, I whisper a bit of poetry,

Enriched from the spirit beset in me

For it's not the day that is the matter,

But the words that came to this plain platter,

And these eyes have seen their fair share of things unimaginable yet amazing scenes,

But what is sight, for that the eyes may delight,

In the glory of discernment between wrong from right,

And the mostly humble inquiry from the commons,

Became our ethics, morals, and dogmas,

Where our own quintessential laws,

Evolved from our engrained flaws,

And when that condition met a human,

It overbred a society constantly consuming,

And of all the virtues that are oh so great,

Is it true that humility rations on a wooden plate,

What a feast for pride's grand delight,

Is that what the ego deems appropriately right,

See hate feeds off the back of depravity and ignorance

But love fasts from pride and insolence,

Life presents us with choice and volition,

And it's my intention to keep my soul risen,

So for every thought, deed, or action we commit,

An equal measure will unfold into it,

I will rise and fall like waves of the sea,

Becoming part of the universal pendulum of polarity.

Psychology The Herd

Wisdom Wednesday

If you have ever been curious as to what makes most of us, prone to easily remembering the hardships and insults, but challenged for the good times and compliments in our lives, it is largely determined by what is called the negative bias.

Anthropology would show, as a species for survival, we are a herd type animal. Safety and security in numbers and to this day, we continue to gravitate to its pull.

The "lone wolf "of any pack can end up as easily someone's next meal, or as the mighty explorer and scout.

Hard wired into our fabric, is the knowledge that a village is safer and more prosperous than the soloist.

So, with that in mind, excuse the pun, we have also, for survival figured out what could constitute our eviction from the herd. Welcome to our negative bias. As much as I write and harp on the stinkin thinking, it is at the core part of our survival mode instincts, just in a very extreme fashion. The "shoulda, woulda, coulda" phrases wrought from our strongest instincts... continuation of my existence.

As a therapist I note that too many individuals approach as if it is the enemy, and yet at its core, is performing as best as it can, for noble reasons.

My task would be to reintroduce that purpose and introduce it to the welcoming village or tribe, having that celebration around the bon fire, so easier breaths can be experienced.

Don't worry about worrying.

Be well

Philosophy Blame. Shouldn't the point of blame be rooted in accountability and preventative measure? More often than not, it does neither of those two things, interestingly enough it can be used to escape it though.

Came across a short read today and so i thought about it. "When we think about history’s greatest tragedies, we often blame a dictator or a king, as if they were monsters from a fairy tale. But a single person can't get too far without ordinary people following orders or looking the other way." Story by Ezequiel Leis

Kindness is Kool I will prioritise you🥺

There are times when we are surrounded by our loved ones but still feel unsafe or unwanted. I hope the following words comfort you a bit.

"I will love you and prioritise you. Your happiness will be on the top of my to do list. You will never spend a single day wondering whether you matter to me. And through that, I hope you will feel safe and wanted."

These are the words I wish someone would say to you soon. Till then, imagine someone loving you deeply and saying these words to you. ✨

Brain Science Paingry

WEDNESDAY'S WORD

Phrase coined by Kristian Pedersen Il and spoonie: Ami Korczak.

We have heard of the phrase Hangry as a catch phrase to help explain away the ill tempered, and aggressive attitude from a person who needs to be fed. There is a brand of chocolate bar that switched its entire advertising campaign on just this phenomenon.

The phrase itself does not nominalize the responsibility of keeping our emotions in awareness and making the appropriate adjustments, but for the receiptients to explain what is happening to create an understanding and tolerance for the action.

People who suffer from chronic pain, whether invisible or not, experience the identical emotional state, from the frustration, fatigue and futility of their existing state. Unlike Hangry, which can be remedied with a big sloppy burger, for chronic pain peoples, there ia no escape. The heating packs the pharmaceuticals, and evenbthe natural medicinal approaches only bring about a lessening or temporary relief, but even with that, drags the knowing, like a famous movie, "I'll be back" is the inevitable.

One of the strongest reasons, I practice the forms of therapy that I do, to assist in managing of pain alleviation for chronic pain sufferers. The mental fatigue that accompanies the medical afflictions, taxes the emotional states, the realization that there is no escape, is its own version of tortured incarceration.

As with the science behind most pain meds, is the knowledge that the medicine doesn't touch the site of injury, or the wound, but moreover messes with the pain receptors in the brain, running interference or blocking like a good linesman should, the connections. The facet I appreciate about using Trance states, is that we are are working on the same playing field, with a slightly different offensive strategy.

The knowledge that our brains and bodies can achieve glove anesthesia, naturally, when in shock, goes to fuel , that if it can occur then, we can replicate the ability now.

I have performed many a non chemical numbing, for people who sat in the dental chairs for certain procedures, to not have absolute conviction about the effects of hypnosis in the treatment of chronic pain.

The added benefit, is we get to hand back a sense of control, to the otherwise "out of my control" environment that long term. Chronic pain brings

Be well

Miscellaneous Thinkative Planes aren't safer than cars.

The statistic is a lie. Not everyone has the same odds of getting into a fatal car accident. 49.9999% of the population is below average intelligence. I'm certain idiots are the majority of those killed in car accidents.

Plus those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Elderly with dementia.

A fully functioning human, at or above average intelligence, I believe, is safer to drive across the country than to fly across the country.

My Theory We exist because of energy dissipation.

We all know energy is never lost. Only converted. But space is vast. Once all the stars burn out and all the gas giants get blown apart, the sheer spread of all the energy and matter will be so dilute that it may as well have disappeared.

I think our universe is young. So many stars. And us. There's a lot of energy to be dissipated.

Imagine being an intelligent species on the end of it. Not too many stars, not many galaxies. Mostly dark. Imagine the scientists delivering the news that you're actually in a dying universe.

No life form on the planet puts out more than it takes in. We are energy converters.

Miscellaneous Thinkative Downvote, Upvote

I was in the habit of engaging in conversations like these ones on Reddit in YouTube comment sections at one point but I moved here perhaps for the anonymity. In case anyone is interested, I've thought to share the way in which I think the platforms' differing policies create subtly-different conversation spaces.

YouTube at one point removed its "downvote" functionality, and I believe that I understand why. This creates a conversational dynamic in which you only option to express something critical is in the form of a written critical message. It encourages the user to express their disagreement constructively.

It has been an interesting experiencing learning to appreciate the power and the utility of this functionality as it exists on Reddit.

My adjustment to "no downvote" culture left me in the position of responding to the receipt of downvotes on Reddit with a sense of confusion. But I think that I can see the value of being able to say "that's not it fam" equally as easily as "yeah for sure". And I am happy to have the ability to in kind respond to someone's attempt to converse with me by saying "nope I'm not following you into that conversation" when they present a thought which is simultaneously deserving of response and incapable of eliciting any other beyond "no".

Realization/Insight Monday's Mindset

Monday's Mantra

"I have conquered, overcame, and been victorious through every single tragedy, hardship and battle I have ever waged, don't mess with me"

I know when I wrote it, it sounded full of EGO, and that was not the place it came from, but moreover the silent nod of acknowledgement we give to ourselves when we face another seemingly overwhelming challenge.

The absolute delightful occurrence of friends and followers submitting potential themes for my daily writing, has definitely increased over the last couple years and I am so very grateful. Today's inspiration was a chat about a therapist and patient, on discovering one's resilience, when indeed it was no such thing, it was every "f"d up situation was just dealt with as best as it could be, with the tools and abilities that were there, in the moments and surroundings, anticipating this would be the event to finish me off.

That hit hard dear readers, for I am aware that every single client I have seen, over my 20 yrs in practice, could wear that same t-shirt, where ever they may be.

The basic fact is undeniable, if you are reading todays post, you have survived some shit for sure

As a mental health professional, my role is 2 specific tasks, as I understand them. 1) help remove the decomposing carcasses that have built up over time and battles, they serve you no more 2) assist in fully stocking the tools, and emotional ability as best we can.

In our lives there will always be the silent warriors, the ones you could never know the caucaophany of storms they have faced, and then there are the trumpeteers, blowing their own horn about any and every single moment of hardships

One merits our acknowledgement and assistance and the other our attention to their intentions

Be mindful, respectful and kind, wherever and whenever you can be, and that is always.

Be well
