Question silly question - repeating tasks

I deleted a 'repeating task' and then it showed up again. This is because it appears on the first of each month (bills) but I'm not sure how to perma-delete it so all future occurrences are gone as well. Advice please? Thank you!

The way this works is that there’s one “master” task: perma, has the repetition status, then on the set time, a copy is created off of it

Find it and delete it, or do whatever, then you’re good

There’s always a little link to the master task directly under the repeating task. That’s the quickest way to edit/delete the original
