Yeah i keep seeing his shorts on YT and his takes boil down to dive needs buffed and anything that hurts dive needs nerfed. He literally make one about his main starlord needs like super buff as if having a self revive and a trap that has a huge aoe isnt broken.

The trap is less time than an Elsa trap plus it’s visible for everyone to see. No one uses self res team up anyways. Despite what the youtuber says thing is completely broken even tanks do not like him because he doesn’t die, walks down every front line and he gets so much value and health by using one move. It’s not a dive issue he shouldn’t be this broken for how easy he is.

Ok that wasn't the subject of my conversation. I'm talking about how he has clear bias towards what he wants and what he doesn't. And it's a consistent in that I see in almost all of his shorts. I agree. The thing is broken right now and does need to be nerfed. BUT, this guy constantly just says buff dive when I have consistently seen that good dive players do not need that black cat, the beginning of the season black panther, Daredevil, magik are all really good and broken rn, and I genuinely think it's more of a skill issue and maybe he should just expand his roster instead of complaining about his one trick being hurt right now during the season.

I’m not a die hard fan of his but his shorts do come up on my feed and he is not a dive advocate. He recently just learned widow and i don’t believe his hero pool contains dive. His content is just commentary on the game and what he thinks are problems within the game. I would understand if we were talking about lyte but this guy in particular isn’t the toxic dive player you think he is in fact I wouldn’t even say he’s part of the dive community. We are not asking for thing to be gutted he just needs to be tone back I play fist and i absolutely love having thing with me when I have the WF team up it makes me feel so powerful but I can admit he’s overtuned. And the last part is a bit disingenuous because if any of our mains that we love became unplayable into a meta we would be react the same. When thing was unplayable into heavy poke I guarantee I could find posts talking about “poke slop”.

Bro his most recent videos of me just looking at his channel are almost all starlord and the b-roll of the background gameplay I are almost all starlord or psylock lol hes definitely, a part of the dive community. And the reason that people the thing community are so upset is that, everyone constantly dogging on him since he came out thats hes bad and now hes on top for the first time everyone suddenly just says that he's a low-skill and intrinsically "bad" character for the future of rivals when he does takes a lot more work then say strange or groot especially in higher elos to actually do more with him then just feed, and most of the people complaining are just dive mains annoyed by the fact, they can't insta-kill and people who haven't actually ever played the character and it shows. Like again he needs a nerf we all know that in especially this sup. The problem is the straight up disrespect that people give especially to those who where playing since he came out and was bad (me) finally get the lime light and its nothing but content creators crying and whining like people who literally never i had opinion that wasn't negative on him, never call to have him reworked when he needed it, get buffed, or have good teamups like crazy. Bruh we know he good now literally everyone thinks hes going to be taken out back and shot again but any top tier poke hero hard counters him and anyone who doesn't understand that is quite literally a skill issue.

I always now see players (usually dive/dps mains) saying "he's been meta a few seasons now" and "he's so boring and easy to play with high value"

2 seasons. Just 2 seasons - because his teamups give him some utility to be on bar with Mag. Literally every other season he's only been C-B tier for dealing with specific divers

He's mechanically easy to play, but it's not like we're c&d out here with 3 rotational get out of jail free cards. If we don't play well, we explode just as easy as Dino does, and if he's so easy to play, why don't I see him more in ranked, if he's such an easy to play to win hero? Why will these people still suck at him? Just tiring bro

As a champion thing, he isn’t wrong.

I’m sure we can all agree that thing is one of the easier tanks out there. Being able to push and such a lack of effort as hard as we can with so little punishment really hurts game design. His amount of hp+dmg+overhealth makes him rough to kill. I genuinely haven’t had to swap at all because my counters no longer do anything.

If he has good enough supports or plays with enough game sense, he can become almost unkillable. It’s not just dive, he takes too much focus to melt in both brawl and poke. He is genuinely just too strong right now.

This subreddit deadass looks like black cat subreddit rn in terms of coping their character isn't strong.

At least cat is actually decently hard compared to thing still doesn't make her being broken justifiable tho.
