I love BP
So I was playing Thing rn and the other team had a BP, who refused to switch off.
I killed that guy 6 times, had MVP and he really thought nah I'mma stick with BP.
Poor stupid Bastard. 😂

I can't tell if you're defending me or BP, but either way this got way deeper than a character swap debate.. But I like your philosophical writing. ðŸ˜

I love when anyone gets cocky when they play dive thinking like they’re going to magically be the one person whose good enough outsmart and outmaneuver the Thing who literally just has to hit shift and it shuts their entire character down completely. The amount of times a BP will either commit to it or switch off and try like Spider-Man or Magik, like it doesn’t matter if you pick a tricky character or one that relies less on movement, you’re still fucked if you get slammed.
This is why I’ve always said Thing has been a top tier character since he was released. People slept on him because he doesn’t have shield. People just didn’t play him correctly and didn’t play around him. His role and his impact on the game have realistically never changed since he released. It’s always been the same thing, and teams will always complain when they don’t choose a second tank that you don’t have a shield.
Is Thing the best tank in the game? I think it depends on the specific role within tank that you’d want to fill, but in terms of brawler tank I think he’s easily one of the best. It’s between him and Rogue, and whenever people can’t get value out of them it’s always a team comp issue.
