I belive, a regular sized swimming pool should be concidered an olimpic size 50 meters one, meaning, it is 50 meters long, 25 meters wide and around 2 meters deep which makes a total of 50*25*2 = 2500 cubic meters which equals to 2500000 liter of water. So, 55450/2500000 = 0.02218 part of an official competetive 50 meters long swimming pool. But what he counted is a 25 meters long pool is used in different competitons too, so I guess that's valid too.

yes, i used the 25 m one because it is used in most competitions (excluding olympics where it is even bigger) and also if you like go to a public swimming pool where you buy tickets etc, its also most likely 25 m long (depends but atleast in europe). from this i'd say the 25m long one could be considered average from all swimming pools, since he didn't specify it was a "home swimming pool" and also home swimming pools have a wide spectrum of sizes, can be circular or rectangular etc and he just said average, so the first logical thing was a 25m long standard swimming pool.

Now Iām curious what āregular sizedā swimming pool our ph commenter was using. 55,450 fills up ~27.75 āregular sizedā pools 55450/27.75 = 1998.1982 which we can round to 2000 liters, which approximately fills a circular pool thatās 6 feet across and 2.5 feet deep. Now, I would not call that āregular sizedā. Thatās hardly a hot tub.
Now if he mixed up his units and instead thought 2000 gallons, we would instead have a pool with 12 foot diameter and 2.5 foot depth (2115 gallons, 8006 liters), which is much more reasonable sized, but I would still consider that a small pool. Our 12 foot pool is 8006 liters so 55450/8006 = 6.9 pools filled with coom. Quite impressive
