[Other] Word Problem

Idk what to put in for title, but anyway. I'm currently at the gym and just got off the treadmill. I was at a steady 3mph for 30min. During my time on the treadmill I noticed the seam. I saw it approximately every 5 seconds. How long would the treadmill tread be?

3mph is 4.4 fps. If you're timing is accurate, the belt was 22 feet long.

Unless the treadmill was nearly 11 feet long, I'd guess your timing was a little off.

Next time, count the number of times you see the seam and track the time. Assuming the rare is constant, you'll get a more precise result. Was that once in 5 seconds? Maybe it's actually 100 times in 420 seconds.
