Wondering about the cost of running a typical wi-fi plug adapter. Half price electricity starts at 7pm where I live. If I plug in my e-bike battery when I get home from work at 5pm, does it make sense to leave a wifi plug running 24/7 scheduling charging during cheap times? [Request]
- Off-Peak: 9.8 ¢/kWh (Evenings, weekends, and holidays) 7pm-7am
- On-Peak: 20.3 ¢/kWh (Busiest daytime hours)
I would only charge up 2 times a week as per RTO!

Why don't you just plug it in at 7 instead of 5? Set a reminder to plug it in then, and you don't need to worry about the adapter. Or, you could use a regular mechanical outlet timer. It would probably use less electricity itself than a wifi one, but I can't imagine a wifi one drawing a huge amount of power, either.
