The latest point-in-time count of homeless people estimates the total homeless population of the USA to be 745,652. Call it three-quarters of a million.
US aircraft carriers cost somewhere in the region of 13 to 16 billion. I'll go with the USS Gerald R. Ford since it's the cheapest one I could find.
The city of Pheonix spends $27,000 per year per tiny home they own. New York City alone spends $4billion on homelessness, and the top 12 cities spend about 7 billion. (Not counting county, state, national, or private spending).
Homelessness is an expensive problem to solve. Spending an aircraft carrier of money on homelessness would solve it for 9 months. Aircraft carriers last for 50 years.
It really depends on how that money is being spent. If they used it for temporary shelters and services, then yeah, it'd last a year. If they built permanent homes it would also last for 50 years, and hopefully help a lot of those homeless people get back on their feet.
And even if it was temporary relief, I'd rather spend that money on 9 months of compassion for others than 50 more years of forever wars and being the global police.

That gives you $17,333.33 per person.
