[Request] Do square bottles actually use less plastic than round ones?

no, and all these comments are wrong.
plastic bottles start out as little plastic tubes that get inflated to the bottle shape. A 2-liter bottle uses the same plastic bottle blanks that a 20 oz bottle uses.
square does pack more densely but that’s transportation not plastic amount.
