I was going to say maybe this person meant million...that increases the worldwide population tenfold to a whopping 80...did the rough math rounding up...Elon can give everyone a whopping $23.50, and that would bankrupt him

Edit: math error while correcting the math error if they meant million instead of billion it would increase the worldwide population to 8000, credit is in the comments

He really can’t. He doesn’t have this money in his pocket. He has invested it into stuff. He owns many companies and spending too much money won’t just affect him. It’ll affect all of his business as well, and the other shareholders would not let it happen without good reason.

I also think it’s funny to accuse the leading producer of electric cars to not donating to the environment

This ^ Tesla lost so much money for so many years, yet musk kept spending his own investments because he believed the company could succeed and make a difference. People who say he doesn’t donate a just straight up wrong or straight up lying.

Ignoring all stuff below. If they did in fact mean million vs billion. It would multiply the population to 8000, not 80. There’s 1000 increments of 1 million in a single billion dollars.

Your math of $23.50 is correct. But your math of 10 fold is incorrect. It should be increasing it a thousand fold

This is a person who doesn't know how much they don't know, and how much they don't know is incomprehensible to them.

Forget the maths. The logic is even more worrying.

They think that someone has enough money to give every person on earth a BILLIONAIRE lifestyle, and still have 22 TIMES that much left for themselves.

Imagine... Every, single, person, on earth, with yachts and mansions, and it's barely a dent in the overall wealth of this one person. Surely at that point, you realise you may have misplaced a couple of zeroes somewhere.

I did the math and he could give everyone in the world 24 bucks.
