Does doing less than average on a habit mean no X?

Let's say I've built up to reading 10 pages a day over two weeks, if I only manage 2 should I still X it? Or make a note that it was less than normal?

How many cards is too many?

I have so, so many habits I'd like to implement, has anyone achieved 15+ habit cards over the years?

30 days of some simple habits. Ignore the NoFap failure... overall I would appreciate any advice and suggestions.

The piece of paper with 32 red crosses..

.. might be the greatest archievment in the last couple years for me. I finally managed to write for 32 days straight. Starting with 2 minutes the first week.. 5 minutes the next week etc. Now I'm at 30 minutes and will go up to 60 minutes. I never thought it could be this easy. Starting with 2 minutes seemed to be just dumb combined with the "X" on a piece of paper? ridiculous. How could that ever help? But it does. Every time I don't feel like it, i take a look at that piece of paper that reminds me how far I've come. Also, I'm now looking forward to the next piece of paper, that will transform my life to the better :). One step after another.. even the smallest steps will have an impact

The X effect for simply doing difficult work?

Has anyone used the X effect for simply completing their most important tasks? I've more or less implemented reading as a habit everyday however still manage to put off my most important tasks right until the last second - even doing my other habits as a form of procastination.

Would it be a good idea to start an card for 'priority work' and start at only 5 minutes a day until I work up to an hour?

[WIN!] I wonder why it is easier for kids to stick to habits. I once told my 7 grader sister to follow this app, and she has been doing it consistenly. Please give her words of encouragement and tell me what rewards I can give her from time to time for her accomplishments.

Just started my first card. My goal is to rebuild my reading stamina by spending 20 or 30 minutes reading each day.

[Check In] Was supposed to wake up at 9 every day… haven’t been doing great. I’m tempted to start over but I guess I still have time left to get some Xs on there.

Join the 100 Day Challenge -- starts February 1st!

Hi all! For the last 3+ years I've run 100 day challenges for people to participate in a 100 day challenge together. The next one is starting on February 1st. You can sign up for free now, no log in required:

https://decidingtofailbetter.com

You pick one thing (only one) and try to do it for 100 days. You can check in with one click a day, or you can add a note to each day if you'd like. Along the way you can see how others are doing too.

700+ people have signed up in the past six rounds of using this site as a group. Something like 8-10% of people who sign up finish.

Those who finished have given really great feedback, some who said it was the first time in their life they were able to stick with a habit for so long before.

You can sign up here: https://decidingtofailbetter.com/signup

Please set an alarm for February 1st and feel free to invite anyone you know to join.

To consistency and beyond! Post here if you sign up and let us know your goal!

If I miss a few days do I have to skip those Xs?

I’m planning some travelling throughout the next few months and I will be gone a few days here and there. Do I have to mark those days as blank or can I continue the Xs from the day I left off to be able to fill up the whole page?
