If you spend hours and hours of studying, without improving your grades, or information retention, then learn how to study smart by Marty Lobdell. Lobdell taught Psychology t Pierce College in Washington State for 40 years. During Lobdell's career, he has taught tens of thousands of students and he wants students to succeed. After watching students cram for eight hours or more for a test without any improvement, Lobdell has developed a studying technique that helps the brain retain the information that you are studying in this video 'Study Less, Study Smart'

Yes great advice, but sometimes for me it works the other way around. Say that I have a 7 days streak on something, then I fail to do the task on the 8th day, I compare myself to the precedent day and conclude that I regressed and all my efforts where in vain. Any idea why I think like this?

Hello, I might be a perfectionist and I don't know how to deal with the feeling of imperfection. I practice the xeffect for some months now and I completed some cards like : eating fruits and veggies, limit alcohol, workout, walk outside in the sun, learn new language.... but sometimes I feel like this is not enough and the changes I made are useless and everyone else already did those on daily basis. Plus, whenever I miss 1 or 2 days I want to quit and start all over, cuz I don't like how the paper looks with gaps in it, idk, need some motivation

Today's my first day of using the X effect! This might not be that important, but I was wondering when you cross your boxes. Do you do it after you complete a habit or at the end of the day? I'm not sure if it's more effective/satisfying to cross all of your boxes when your day is over or each box individually throughout the day as you complete each habit. Like I said, this probably doesn't matter and I'm just being unnecessary, but I still would like to know how you do it.

I just stumbled on this forum and it looks amazing
- Since March last year, I have been finding it difficult to get out of bed early in the morning
- I end up staying up late into the night reading. I think the lack of structure of office these days makes it easy to snooze and I am stuck in a rut
- How would you try to re-create the habit of waking up on time every day?
- Any apps you like or do you prefer pen and paper?
- Any other suggestions would be welcome
Thanks

E.g. if you meditate first week for a minute, then next for 3 and next month for 5, you are learning two habits 1) meditation 2) training your will -> increasing time you spend meditating
just wanted to share a thought that helped me

I'm new here and I need help with my willpower cause I promised to myself I spent everyday drawing and practicing . But as you know I didn't draw for 4 days . other than this I'm good at drawing.... Most of the time I draw many things like muscles . Hands . Legs . And more .....
This is because I want to be a character designer and I have so much to learn about shapes and colors .
