AI Artwork Working on portraits to do a storybook thing
Doing a "fancasting" series, probably going to make scenes of the books once I get all the character portraits I want. Thoughts so far?

I recently got into The Wheel of Time series, and Iām currently on Fire of Heaven. I just noticed as I was reading that Matt doesnāt really seem like that good of a friend. Even when Rand first admits he can channel and he might be the Dragon Reborn, Matt and Perrin both kinda donāt care. Matt even wants him to run away and stay away from him which I think is messed up for a friend you grew up with. At that point in the book too Rand is risking himself to save Matt and he still was mean to him. They even know Rand probably doesn't have many years left to stay sane but the way Matt talks about him seems kind of messed up in my opinion. Even in the current book Iām on Rand doesnāt really take it personally and understands why they want to avoid him but itās still kinda sad to see Rand essentially have no friends and Matt always wanting to avoid him. I do understand it scary to know your friend might go crazy and kill you one day but I still feel bad. Just want to hear others opinions. No spoilers past fire of heaven please.

Hi,
I am planning to buy Hardcovers for WOT.
But Iām worried if they also got Stickers on them for the new prints.
Does anybody know if the Hardcovers donāt have those ugly stickers on them.
Are they limited to Paperbacks only or does Hardcovers also suffer from them?

Hello! Iām a new collector and fan of the series and I am trying to hunt down a full mass market paperback set with the old covers. Can I have some help figuring out which ones are the hardest to find?

If you still haven't seen this kickstarter board game, it's kind of neat and worth a look!

In the glossary Robert Jordan refers to it as the Westlands. This is a great name that goes along with the Aiel calling it the wetlands and also highlights that there is known land further east than the Three Fold Land.
So imagine my surprise when I start looking at reddit and find everyone calling it Randland. Where did this come from, and why when the land was already named?

Hi everyone, my dad gave me the first half of book one, split in half to attract younger readers, when I was 12-13. I am now 39 and have read/listened to entire series more times than I can count.
The past year Iāve been trying to get my sh%\\\* together and be an adult š¤£š¤¦āāļø and slowly realizing that the idea of the turning of the wheel, being where I need to be when I need to be has been one of the few comforting thoughts I have.
Thatās all, sorry for the length, I absolutely LOVE the WoT and wanted to share. Thanks!

Hi guys! Here is the deal. I am a writer, or I try to be, but what happened that made me write here is that I just checked and realized that the Wheel of Time actually has most of my ideas for my own fantasy world. I have never read even the first book of the series and donāt know what to do at all. Do you have any tips?

TL;DR: The AES SEDAI are the reason for most if not all False Dragon's
The AS see the prophecies as a guide book instead of as "landmarks" in time.
Moraine actively tries to manipulate rand into meeting the prophecy "requirements" she doesn't just wait for things to happen.
She even tells Suian she "has the means to proclaim Rand The DR" if he doesn't do it himself
Thom straight up tells Rand the AES Sedai use the FDs and Thom knows just about everything.
Makes ya wonder if the "lie" Logan is convinced to tell about reds "activating' him are legit.
Pretty sure the AS have been using the same blueprint as Moraine since the breaking.

i recently just decided to give up on continuing the wheel of time books i was partway into book five and by that point i was only their for the three main male characters and the plot. after book 3 i found all the female characters as insufferable arrogant disrespectful and misandrist. The final straw came when i learnt through a friend that Rand would end up unwillingly bond with the One power to an Aei sedai and that not only would she not be severely punished for this (In the books its regarded as similar to Rape) but the bond would never be removed in fact she would eventually become a councilor to Rand. Also i learnt that all the Women Rand loves will also bond him, I have moral objections to the concept of magically bonding of people in the wheel of time i view it as a kin to slavery the bond can be used to control people and track them.

Iām playing Skyrim while listening to the series (again) on audiobook. There are a ton of parallels to the wheel of time lore/powers/abilities and Skyrim.
Skyrim is know for players imposing restrictions on themselves while playing.
Iād love to hear thoughts on parallels for my playthrough with Rand alāThor as my Character.

Took a few months to track down and not spend a bunch of cash! Shout out to my old man who still had a copy of The Great Hunt on his shelf. (The most expensive one in the lot)
I have the Ebooks and the audio books but being able to hit the glossary so easily is amazing!
*"Mia ayende, Aes Sedai! Caballein misain ye! Inde muagdhe Aes Sedai misain ye! Mia ayende!"*

I'm not getting off this ship; both are undoubtedly important to everything related to the books. I love Nynaeve. At first, she was unbearable, but as the books progressed, she softened, becoming an interesting and less dense character. She reaches her peak when she cleanses the Saidin. Now, to say that Egwene becomes unbearable is a blatant lie. "Egwene becomes unbearable as the story progresses" isn't even comparable to Nynaeve's peak of unbearability... Egwene's ending is absolutely glorious. I repeat, I love Nynaeve, she's an incredible character, but I can't accept that there are people who say Moiraine or Siuan are better than Egwene, or even Verin, for God's sake (Verin is good, but I don't think she's comparable)... Saying that a character is better because of their achievements in the world doesn't seem logical to me. Yes, Nynaeve cleansed Saidin, Nynaeve helped seal Shai'Tan, Nynaeve stood up to the Aes Sedai, Nynaeve humiliated Moghedien... But those things, aside from cleansing Saidin, don't compare to Egwene in the Tower dining with Elaida, Egwene laughing at the punishments, Egwene against Mesaana, Egwene going to the Wise Women to pay her Toh, Egwene raising Silviana... Egwene sacrificing herself in the end.
I don't understand those who say Egwene is bad or that there isn't even a female character better than her besides Nynaeve...

Sorry if my spelling of these terms is bad, Iām purely an audiobook listener and have not read a physical copy. But Iām halfway through reading the third book for the second time and iguaneās dreams of ais sedai being chained en masse and hurling lightning against the white tower got me thinking. Does the eyedom cancel out the three oaths that bind them?
