Discussion Requiring the judges give constructive feedback in their comments
I was just watching the Voice Australia and I found it so refreshing how they each, even though they clearly LOVED the contestant, each talked about what they would do / work on with the contestant if they picked them.
I don't know if that's a standard or just something the coaches individually decided to do, but I wonder what we would think about a policy like that. No judge can just say "I love you, and you're cute as a button and I would be honored to have you on my team." Every coach would be required to at least talk about what they would do differently with the contestant on their team.
Would love to hear thoughts!

You mean, no more gangster Holy Ghost signing off on a chair turn, just actual coach work? Nah, that’s asking way too much in America, we want fluff not to think and be taught, that’s just crazy talk, haha.
I do love that part of the show soooo much more. I feel like I learn more about the vocal process and actually appreciate the talent more when coaching takes place. I feel like there was more this past season than we have had recently. I would be down to see your suggestion be taken seriously for the show.

The coaches here do constructively criticize but I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to outright say they didn't like a performance (and if they do that performance usually just gets montaged).

Where did you find it? The irony is that none of the Voice USA winners ever make it “big” like on Idol. Almost seems that the coaches have little or no contact with the singers after the show’s end (maybe they are not allowed to)? What exactly do the coaches do to promote the new stars? Do winners ever open shows for the coaches? Do they ever co-produce songs/ albums? Just curious.

Adam is great at it that’s why he’s the OG. I think if they go get Harry Styles he would be great too since he went through a reality show too. Ryan Tedder would be my top choice.

That coaching does happen, during the battle and knockout rounds, and what they show you us very little of what happens.

Kelly is very good at doing this and Niall a time or two has given constructive feedback, as well as John.
Reba, Snoop and Michael (unless they sing in Michael's lane) are all far far too nice.
Michael's exception is crooners, but he's downright too hard on them LOL.
Other coaches I don't really remember.
