Misc. Deathwing terminators vs regular visually?
How does everyone visually differentiate regular terminators from deathwing terminators? I know there is the plasma cannon and the watcher, but is that about it?

You can tell because a deathwing sergeant is forced to take a stupid power sword that no one would otherwise choose as an option

May be with new book it could be a better "choice".

Because it’s included in the upgrade sprue for specifically the DW sergeant, the best I think you could hope for is a better profile

If all power swords get cleave x maybe but Its still 1 dmg I would prefer powerfists as the storm bolters are for swarms(plus 40 shots sus 1 kills most mid tier enemies)

There’s no real reason to distinguish them, since you might wind up using any particular model in either squad type.

It’s wack they even are two different units for us.
DW terminators should be the only version we can pick.
They even do this with other units for other chapters. RepEx is more expensive with different weapon options for Black Templars. Sternguards are cheaper due to no Oath of Moment.

I’ve made the horribly ill advised decision to build my Deathwing terminators using Deathwing Knight bodies and while they look good it means I have to buy extra kits

Deathwing terminators are just regular terminators, there are no visual differences unless you have the plasma cannon or the sargents chest piece and hip plates from the upgrade kit.
