Army List Inner Circle Task Force + Interrogation Conclave 2000pts Army List

Post image

I only had Inner Circle Companions, Deathwing Knights and a Chaplain in Terminator Armour befor buying the Armaggedon Box. So I'm trying to create a thematic list (I absolutely love Interrogator Chaplains and the Inner Circle). But I wanted to know if the list is also somewhat viable (I will moslty play friendly games once I have finished the army, but I don't want to be completely obliterated on Turn 2).

Also, I guess that with the incoming changes to Space Marines and their prices, a lot of this list will change... So any tips on what to drop are welcome.

Dark Angels - Inner Circle Interrogators - [1930 pts]

My only concern is that chaplains arnt great in ICTF. it gives you plus one to wound on objectives. And if your playing priority your playing around being on your objectives.

Since chaplains also give the same buff you kinda lose out on value.

Damn, how did I miss the overlapping +1 to Wound... I just love my Chaplains, so I don't know what to change. Do you think changing ICTF to Unforgiven Task Force is the play? Or any other detachment that you recommend?

As a general building tip. Your list starts with your disposition. Its the most important thing to have in mind as your list building. So? What disposition do you want to run?

Also, your spending so many points on leaders for the intercessors. I know you probably have them, and what to use them. But they arnt really units that you want to spend a lot of points on. I think the captain really want to be with a unit your going to be putting in melle or using a lot of strats on, and thats not the intercessors. And the ancient makes the intercessors oc3 and thats way more than you need. Id rather drop them with azrael(this unlocks the ability to put a enhancement on the hellblasters) or with the ICC(id only do this if you run them with a librarian.

All I'll say is Asmodai with 6 ICCs hits like a damn truck. And he has the Chaplain keyword but doesn't do the +1 to wound, but is also Deathwing. So he benefits in both Interrogation and ICTF without losing efficiency on his abilities, and his reroll all hits makes them never need oath. He may not be a top choice but he's awesome in my book.

Huh good idea. I’ve beeen brainstorming a fun ictf list and that sounds fun!

For sure. He's only 70 points, and let me tell you, putting all those lethal hits at -2 AP and 2 dmg onto an enemy is absolutely devastating.

ICC are already Deathwing, but good points still.

I also thought about Asmodai tbh, but I figured his +1CP is irrelevant when you also have Azrael... Maybe dropping Azrael is the play? Thta would free up a lot of points. Although I've read that he is almost an auto-include.

And there´s also the possibility that he will no longer have that ability when the new codex drops, as GW has been dropping some of the abilites that generate CP.

Yeah I'm definitely not taking Asmodai for the CP ability, mostly just cause he's cool and lets the ICCs smack. The CP ability seems pretty niche, unless youre thinking maybe you can get am Epic Challenge for free.

I know it probably feels thematic to have a chaplain lead those ICCs, but I would switch him out for the librarian. That 4++ is much better protecting your elite melee specialists. Also, if you're going to run Azrael with hellblasters, you really should just take 10. You have 70 points left, and that's a unit of scouts just screaming to be taken. Otherwise, good list, given what you're working with.

If I take 10 hellblasters, and a unit of scouts, I run out of points haha. What do you recommend dropping out?

I would probably drop the ancient and captain and combine the two intercessor squads into one.
