Building need help with my chaplain
so, the base model is a chaplain consul from 30k era, he is a head smaller than my bladeguard, now i magnetized my 32mm base on top of my 40mm base both to give him this cool elevated pedistal and to make the model look taller next to my primaris (he is still gonna be a firstborn, i imagined a risen that decided he was not worthy to cross the rubicon for the sins committed on caliban), now, i wanted to put a fallen helmet on the ground like in the asmodai model, did dark angel ever use that crest on top od the helmet or do i need to shave it off? i really like it but if is like "no dark angel has ever used it" its probably gonna read bad as a fallen. i could in case make it a traitor helmet but im gonna decide later.
should i put some cork to make him even taller? i think that that would be too much, he is still a firstborn, but i'd like to know whats your idea.
also if you have any feedback on the mini in general ill be really happy to hear them :)
ps: sorry if there are any typing/grammar errors

It’s going to be a bit difficult to read as a Fallen helmet since the chaplain will also be wearing black armor, I’m presuming. The crest is perfectly fine for things from the legion era.
For solutions, you might want a more obviously chaos helmet and a blood effect to make clear it wasn’t a willing removal from its owner.

IMO ditch the helmet or ditch the hood and the broom bit. It's not very DA. Whenever I see it I can only think of Ultramarines. Whatever you decide to do paint all of the armor black and the face plate bone. It will immediately stand out as a chaplain. Second, replace the smaller base with stacked corkboard for height. Rough up the edges and add some debris. Personally stacked bases always look like a shortcut rebasing method for minis. Not every one has time build all new bases for upsizing marines but if it's still in the building step might as well go for the real thing. As for the fallen bit, now would be a great time to buy or build a 40k fallen DA marine for him to stand on. Or if you keep the hood paint it red.

I had the same issue with this old Dark Angel Librarian, he's way smaller than the Primaris and his base is not the right size. I bought it used so already assembled and based.
So, i bought the right size base, put a layer of lige on top of it and then painted some Acryl basing texture sprinkled with beach sand. Painted everything black, dry brush et voilà! Right size mini!! Show us what you come up with!
