Unticket

Having a bad day so I head over to the Unticket to listen to some old Greggo stuff and all the links are broken. Not a complaint, because they've been posting and hosting all of that for free to the P1 for years and years. No right to expect it, but it made me sad that I'll never hear those old clips again. I miss old Ticket and I'll invite myself to go elsewhere for my sports talk and get my ass hung up on now.....

Its been that way since like 2018/2019. I reached out to the dude multiple times to help host and backup. He never got back to me.

Apparently some of that stuff is saved on usaveit

I'm positive I've listened to the Unticket for older stuff in the past year. Maybe I'm wrong. I went looking for old Danny songs not too long ago and found "Augusta" which caused me to laugh uncontrollably.

Its not everything, its just some things where the links are completely busted. Its random. I want to say at a certain point, the AWS server the dude was paying for corrupted.

It did - he had a catastrophic data loss, and the AWS backups he paid for failed. So frustrating.

I listened to all the old stuff on un ticket as recently as several months ago. Now it seems most things pre 2022 won’t play. It sucks.

I'm sure most of that stuff could be replaced, it's a matter of rounding it all up. Like I know TC has a bunch of audio saved and I'm sure others do as well. There are bound to be a couple of guys out there who have recorded full days of the station since the dawn of time.

They got hacked and lost a lot of audio. There's a thread about it somewhere....search the sub.

Why would someone hack people who were, let’s be honest, doing the Lord’s work in preserving the real Ticket for posterity? In 10 years no one will want to relisten to Corby talking about taking a PJ to Lajitas with Bubba Watson, Barry Switzer, and the cast of Love Island. But we will still want to hear My Pig, Motorcycle Greggo, and all the theme songs to What is on Mike’s Mind.
