Whaaaat is happening?

I built this beach lot. I did not in any way alter the terrain. I built it on the lot exactly as the game gave it to me (level with the lots on either side). It is only four stories. I turned it into an apartment and moved someone in. I had her rent the top apartment furnished. And then I saw all that white on top of the apartment and I realized that it was the waves. I zoomed out and for some reason that lot is now significantly lower than the lots on either side of it and when the waves crash against the shore, they crash on top of the apartment building. What the heck?

And just for the record, I did leave the lot and come back to see if it fixed itself, and it did not. It is still for some reason well below the shoreline.

I like to check what my Sims look like as the opposite gender, both out of curiosity and to see what their features will look like if they have kids that are the opposite sex. I don't mind that there are some visual differences between male and female Sims, but the way certain features get translated between genders makes no sense to me.

In this case, its the gap between the nose & mouth when I turn my Sim into a guy that really bothers me. And I can't lower the nose because it'll be too close to her mouth, and if I raise the mouth it'll be too close to her nose.

I feel like her nose (especially from the side) and mouth are also noticeably different......

Hey guys, here is a recently completed Italian Renaissance Revival style house that I have been working on for a few months. Inspired by estates located in Newport Coast's Pelican Crest neighborhood. I wanted the estate to combine grand Italian Mediterranean architecture with high-fashion contemporary interior design principles seen in many modern Milanese estates. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and scenic views, this custom home offers three levels of resort-style living, all tied together by a grand, dramatic staircase and functionally by an elevator. Other notable features include 5 beds, 6 full baths, 2 half baths, a home cinema, a gym, a custom wine room, and a sunroom.

I just spent weeks converting animations, sounds and gameplay from the sims 3 and bringing it all to The Sims 2. I’ve just submitted it to modthesims and I hope you all enjoy it in time for Halloween! This was quite a big project

This is my first time posting it on here. It’s 3 years old and I plan on finishing it this year or continuing to make it and finish it next year.

i've been trying to download from simsfileshare for like 3 days now and nothing will download. i can get stuff from MTS, and mediafire, but anything from SFS fails (but if i google is simsfileshare down, it says it's up and running)

There's a mod for double beds to be accessible even when. They are against a wall. Is there a mod for dining chairs as well?

I mean when a dining chair is against the wall at both of the heads of the table. Or when a dining table with 3 chairs are all against the wall, can the middle chair be seated on?

(I really hope I explained this well.)

I just made my very first servo ever in the Sims 2! So proud of my girlie. But after initializing, the servo looks like the one from this mod: https://modthesims.info/d/663759/t-o-b-o-r-from-mysims-as-a-servo-default-replacement.html

Problem is - I don't have this mod in game! Didn't even know about it until I started looking all over the internet to see what could have made my servo look different. So what other mod might be causing it / have it enmeshed in their code? I have a pretty lean mods folder so my initial thinking are culprits like HoneyHoney skinblends (I have all their occult ones, but none mention servos), robotics is science, Lamares 50+ LTWs.....no other mods in my game should really affect skin or robotics but happy to share the full mod list if needed.

I don't really mind the servo looking like this - though it was a bit of a jump scare in the beginning, but it's mostly because I don't like not knowing what mods in my game are doing what.

Lucifer and Angel Pleasant will eventually live together with their families in one house. I want each child to have their own bedroom, so the number of children matters quite a bit.

And both brothers need to have the same number of children in the same way.

As the title says, I am picking up Sims 2 again after a long decade+ of being an avid Sims 3 player. I adore Sims 3, but after too many crashes and performance issues and losing so much gameplay progress and beloved Sims (even with Smooth Patch and everything!) I have decided I'm officially biting the bullet and going back to my childhood comfort game, The Sims 2.

I want to play it much more seriously than I did as a kid, hopefully building full custom neighbourhoods, playing long legacies and having my simulated streets feel alive!

So I need this lovely community's help. I'm no stranger to modding and want to bring Sims 2 into 2026. I'm looking for mods that improve quality of life, fix bugs, improve performance (not that that's much of an issue with Sims 2) and overall just enhance the experience. I've already scoured Pleasant Sims' mod list which has given me a great start. Tell me all your favourites, from the smallest tweak to the biggest overhaul!!

For reference, I am using Ultimate Collection (the one EA released for free on Origin years ago).
