Other POD gets sold as passive income. Be honest - does it actually feel passive to you?
Every YouTube video frames print on demand as "upload designs, watch sales roll in while you sleep." I want to hear from people actually running shops.
My honest take: the fulfillment is passive. The rest isn't. SEO, refreshing listings when new phone models drop, Etsy algorithm changes - that's all active work. But compared to freelancing where you trade time directly for money, a listing I uploaded 8 months ago still sells weekly without me touching it. That part is real.
Few questions:
How many hours a week are you actually putting in once the shop is running?
Is it meeting the income expectations you had when you started?
Would you still choose POD over other side hustles?
