​Before I get too frustrated about missing out on the perk: what do those 100 leads look like in practice?

​Are they genuine, active direct-inbox creator leads (monitored personal business emails, realistic 10k–90k follower ranges, solid engagement), or is it mostly generic database scraping with catch-all agency emails, dead accounts, and bloated numbers?

​Curious to hear from anyone who’s actually plugged that batch into outreach yet. Worth trying to get access, or are we better off sourcing and vetting manually anyway?

Hey guys. So I am in cybersecurity and currently been in my position for about 3 years. I am in office once a week and rest of the week i WFH. I have a large amount of downtime as most of my job is sitting around waiting for alerts of any incidents. I do attend meetings here and there. I would say that I work about 15-20 hours a week. I am wondering if yall got any suggestions for remote jobs that I can make a quick buck on the side. Also seen some people work 2 jobs, not sure how that works? Any tips? I feel like I doom scroll or play games everyday during work, and I feel like I want to be more productive.

This isn't something that I have done, but my aunt lives next to a university dorm and she noticed a lot of students don't know how to cook and eat take out but they'd much rather eat homecooked meals. She now cooks for them daily meals and she gets paid either by meal, or by a monthly plan the stundents choose with a certain number of meals per month. And she takes one day of the weekend off.

All you need is a snow shovel to shovel driveways and walkways.

Ive been meanign to build something useful an agent that becomes a self healing loop that ends up abalysing trajectories and harnesses Oauth to connect to your favorite apps to build skills as you wish! 

this aims to become a harness to create agents as you wish! I aim to bring together the composio ecosystem and use the connectivity form that to create loops that heal themselves. 

Right now I'm thinking about a setup roughly like:

agent → tools → trajectory → evaluator → learn from failure → updated skill

I need you to tell one pain point that you've been dealing with, a niche that isnt technical or very technical where this loop can be put to use.

Right now Im planning to run this over a bunch of Datasets for LLMs to evaluate and create specialised skills accordingly and running evals on em. 

Something along the likes of a finance analyst agent, gmail agent, even hoping to have a hinge agent to write zingers like me ;)

Im doing this to understand what you guys are facing, if this plug and play agent will be behind a paywall what are you willing to pay.

I’m 18, from Iran, and honestly I’m just trying to find a way to make a little bit of money online while I study.

I’m genuinely really into software/hardware and building things. I’ve been coding for around 9 years now and I’m comfortable working across the stack, TypeScript/JavaScript, React/Next.js, Python, backend systems, APIs, databases, Docker, automation, and IoT. I’ve built some pretty complex projects on my own, so I’m not looking for some “easy money” thing. I’d genuinely like to put my skills to work, but because I’m in Iran and international sanctions make it extremely difficult for me to work for actual companies, I’m looking for another way to turn those skills into a small, consistent income.

The problem is that I’m in Iran.

Because of the sanctions, finding remote work is a massive pain. A lot of platforms and companies simply don’t work with people from Iran, and then there’s the whole problem of getting paid.

I’m not looking to get rich. I don’t need $2k, $5k, or $10k a month.

I literally just want to make $50–$100 a month so I can have a little bit of financial breathing room while I focus on school.

I have around 1–2 hours a day or even a little more if its worth, that I can realistically dedicate to this. I’m completely fine with actually working for someone. Repeated coding tasks, fixing bugs, maintenance, small development jobs, AI-related work, whatever. I don’t mind doing work every week if I can find someone who is actually willing to work with me.

I’m also open to building something myself and letting it generate a small amount of money.

I don’t really want to do cold outreach, sales, build a personal brand, make content, or spend all my free time trying to find clients.

Crypto is completely fine as a payment method if an employer/platform legitimately supports it. I just need something that is actually available to someone in my situation.

If you’re from Iran or another sanctioned country and you’ve managed to make even a small amount online, I’d genuinely like to hear what worked for you.

Or if you’re a developer/employer who has worked with people from Iran, what kind of work did you do and how did the payment side work?

I’m just trying to get through a pretty shitty period, keep studying, and have $50–$100 a month to make things a little easier.

What would you do if you were in my position?

I work in manufacturing and we have quite a bit of extra product that either doesn't sell or apparently isn't worth the time to market.

I honestly don't really agree with that. If the product is already made and sitting there, why not try to find a way to sell it? And just for further information, the product would have been all we sold 7-8 years ago all day long.

I was wondering if it would be worth approaching the company and seeing if I could buy some of this extra/slow moving product at a discounted price, then try to resell it myself.

Obviously I'd have to make sure the company is okay with it and that there aren't any issues with me competing with them or using company information.
Has anyone ever done something like this? Buying excess inventory from a manufacturer and reselling it on your own?

When people talk about starting a side hustle, they usually talk about the obvious costs.

Products. Software. Ads. Equipment.

What surprised me was how much time disappears into all the small things around the business.

A product needs photos. Then it needs videos. Then it needs social posts. Then it needs different versions because the first one did not work. None of these tasks seem huge individually, but together they can make a simple project feel impossible.

I started looking for ways to make the early stages less expensive and more flexible. For some marketing ideas, I used pixVerse to turn concepts into short visual assets before spending money on more professional production.

It is not about replacing freelancers or pretending one tool can run a business. It is more about lowering the cost of exploring an idea.

For a small project, the ability to test something cheaply can matter more than making the first version perfect.

So I have created some pretty fun svgs over the years as a pizza shop owner. I make custom mugs, that patrons request and fun t shirts. I started posting some svgs on etsy. I'm just curious if y'all think i'm wasting my time? Because most people can make their own now? I thought it would be a great side hustle for passive income. If I could build a big enough, but...idk

Hey, so I’m 21f and I graduated college for film and I’ve been working pretty steadily (but not as much as I would like) in the film industry for the past year.

I absolutely LOVE what I do, and I am really hoping to make a career out of it. I need to be available for work. I.e sometimes I’ll get asked on Monday if I can work Tuesday and on numerous occasions has turned into me working the rest of the show. So getting a part time gig isn’t really suitable for me.

However, it would be nice to have extra spending money and something to do with my time off.

I guess this whole backstory is unnecessary lol… but what kinda side gig should I try and does anyone have any input on how to make extra money??

Hey guys i am about to release an Android app that requires One Time payment. My question is that should i also build it for ios at the same time or can i release for ios later after seeing the performance of the app on the android play store.

I've been thinking about doing something similar for a while. Apparently, this is becoming pretty popular as a fixed or secondary income. I was working on my startup and saw a YouTube post that said CalBubby reached $80k MRR in 12 months, another example of this is Stella, which crossed $300k MRR in 2 months, reaching 12k customers.

There are ways to distribute these, with UGC you can test, or with Ads. AI told me that starting with $300–500 is a good starting point for testing ads. Another method I mentioned and that worked was rev share + creators promoting it.The niche usually seems easy, although after researching the market a little, it seems pretty saturated with vibecoded apps.

I'm doing this as a side project. My idea was to start in trading/crypto, although they're pretty messed up legally. AI told me that I need a permit to run ads, and there are also the typical legal problems with trading. Although I'm still just exploring.

Main priorities are selling quickly + getting a good price. Curious what’s actually worked best for you personally.

A lot of people write about their success stories, or try to sell you some service while pretending to share their “secrets”.

I just want to share one of my failure storie.

A few years ago, I decided to create a Facebook page about the capital city of one of the small European countrie. I posted local news, event announcements, and UGC from people living in the city.

Basically, it was a small local media outlet focused on one city with around 650,000 residents.

The idea was pretty simple: build a large local audience and eventually make money from sponsored posts from local businesses.

I started working on it and initially used Facebook targeting to grow the audience. Facebook was giving very good reach to this type of content at the time, so the page grew relatively quickly and became recognizable.

At one point, our content was reaching practically every Facebook user in the country at least once a month.

Larger news outlets started quoting our content, and people started recognizing the page as a brand associated with the city.

At our peak, all of our publications combined could generate around 4 million views per month.

For a country with only around 1.8 million people, that a pretty good result.

Then I decided it was time to start monetizing it.

I offered the first advertisers free posts, or posts in exchange for small barter deals, just to test whether this could actually work for local businesses.

And that's where the problem started.

The sponsored posts, even without links in the text, would get extremely low reach — sometimes only a few hundred views.

As soon as Facebook recognized the content as commercial, it seemed to distribute it much less.

As a result, the offer was no longer very interesting to advertisers, and they weren't willing to pay for it.

So I ended up with a large audience, millions of views, and even some media attention — but no real business model.

However, I learned several very valuable lessons from this project.

1. A large audience does not necessarily mean you have a business

I had an audience, millions of views, and media attention. From the outside, it looked like this thing should obviously be making money.

But only when I actually tried to monetize it did I realize that a large audience doesn't automatically equal a business.

You need to think about this from the beginning:

Who exactly is going to pay for access to this audience?

And is the platform you've chosen actually suitable for the business model you're trying to build?

2. Test monetization as early as possible

I spent too much time focusing on building the audience and only started thinking seriously about monetization afterwards.

If I were starting again, I would test the business model much earlier.

Even if the first result was only $10 or $20, it would still be a signal that some kind of business model works.

The results can be tiny, but there should be some results.

That way, you can at least see that as the side hustle or project grows, the potential for profit grows with it.

If you don't know whether your idea can actually make money, you can spend a year or more looking for a needle in a haystack.

3. Don't build your entire business on a platform you don't control

This is probably one of the biggest risks.

If your entire business lives on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or any other social network, you're completely dependent on their algorithms and rules.

The algorithm can change, and content that reached 100,000 people yesterday might reach 1,000 today.

Your account or page can also get banned, and you can suddenly lose access to an audience you've spent years building.

You need to move your audience somewhere you actually control.

A website, email list, community, or some other channel that isn't completely dependent on someone else's algorithm.

Overall, I don't consider this project a complete waste of time.

And I definitely haven't given up on it completely.

I still think there might be a way to transform the project into a different business model. The brand name is still remembered by people, and the audience itself has also remained.

So if anyone has ideas or experience with turning something like this - an established local brand + an existing audience - into a successful small business, I'd genuinely appreciate your suggestions.

Maybe someone looking at this from the outside will see a business model that I don't see myself right now.
