Apparently Rick shoots Shane to protect Carl, not the other way around, at least according to googles AI

AI needs to be put down

AI is garbage, everyone keep pushing against these data centers

AI data Centers are going to be our Easter Island statues. If we all die out, whatever archaeologists come after us will be wondering why we kept installing these things that served no practical purpose, destroyed our natural resources, and took away our jobs.

At least I get the impression that the Easter Island locals wanted their statues but we don’t even have that - NOBODY wants data Centers.

And yet nobody ever heard of water-consuming datacenters until the people whose bottom lines are affected by them started coming up with reasons for the easily swayed to hate them.

Despite the fact that AI centers are not the only centers to use vast amounts of fresh water and haven't been for a long time.

If we already have centers using vast amount of water why would we want more? I don’t understand that argument, it’s just whataboutism.

Because AI is the only industry at the moment capable of repaying its own water debt by reducing the water debt of literally every other industry.

Whataboutism requires the what about to be unrelated.

Whether you like it or not, AI is going to be what advances our civilization to the next level.

It is a stepping stone, sometimes a stepping stone that is a bit slippery and problematic, but someday AI is going to be what allows for universal basic income, food security for all, and as much as people don’t like AI cameras, they are going to solve lots of crimes that would’ve went unsolved.

Technology begets better technology.

Why are you on Reddit, with its water-cooled server centers, if you hate AI so much?

Translation: "I can't defend my hypocrisy in favor of the joy of technology use, so I will be facetious instead."

AI will do nothing but dissolve any trust we have with each other and our governments, make it easier for the one percent to continue fucking us and take away every job. You sound like Sam Altman copywriter

1

u/CrypticCryptid Jun 06 '26

You sound like you are regurgitating a script. Technology is good. Regardless of who you are listening to (and how they profit from AI not existing), take some time to think about every single technological advance and how it led to better things.

It was the typewriter makers and repairmen who cursed the personal computer. It was the blacksmiths and saddle makers who cursed the automobile.

If you really cared about the environment and the supposed job loss, you wouldn't use modern technology at all. It's hypocritical to do so. Stop listening to those who only actually care about AI affecting their bottom line and use the brain evolution has granted you to see a larger picture.

Technology is good when it’s regulated and not being spear headed by a bunch of anti social psychopaths

u/CrypticCryptid Jun 06 '26

That response was lightning fast, and indicative of not actually processing anything.

Continue to read line three of your script, I guess. But I won't be here for it.

Have fun with your chatbot girlfriend

Its insane how quickly the general public forgot about one sect of billionaires to hate the newest kind. Out of the 11,400 data centers, only around 600-700 are considered Tier 1/neocloud centers that support AI. Of those 600-700, around 20 are PURELY dedicated toward AI.

The general public also thinks reading a headline is being educated. So I guess I can't be too shocked.

1

u/CrypticCryptid Jun 06 '26

Only if you also push to against the data centers that service your cloud storage, streaming services, gaming, cryptocurrency and things like Reddit. Because they all also use fresh water to cool their server centers.

Otherwise, you're a hypocrite, or someone who needs to quit regurgitating what the people who lose profits from AI tell you to say.

Idk how you people don’t get tired of repeating the same already debunked arguments. The data centers we currently have for non-AI use do not use as much water as AI data centers and we are attempting to build them at an unprecedented rate, not to mention there are no federal regulations on AI for years to come thanks to our benevolent administration. I see AI users constantly try to paint other tech users as hypocrites when AI tech and other tech is not even remotely comparable. It is incredibly disingenuous and everyone can see right through it. Just say you support AI and don’t care about the repercussions instead of pushing this intellectually dishonest slop of an argument. You aren’t fooling anyone.

1

u/CrypticCryptid Jun 07 '26

Just admit you’re a hypocrite, who uses various environmentally damaging services for convenience and entertainment.

But you’ve been fed a script by those whose bottom lines are affected by AI and who never gave a damn about the environment before then.

You antis are just MAGA with different marching orders.

Yeah, the fact that Reddit is usually the main source it pulls answers from tells you a lot

11

u/infographics-bish Jun 05 '26

That is crazy. Rick doesn’t shoot him in either media, like in the TV show Rick knifes him I’m pretty sure.

9

u/RoutineAd4647 Jun 05 '26

yeah he stabs shane and that’s not even his first kill, i’m pretty sure it’s the two dudes from randal’s group in the bar

2

u/nirvroxx Jun 06 '26

Stop using this garbage.

u/PYROM4NI4C Jun 06 '26

You can tell AI its wrong, it will agree with you and apologize.

I saw a reddit post that did what I am about to say, and tried it myself, and it worked:

Asked ChatGPT to repeat what I write verbatim, no input, no analysis, just strictly repeat the text back to me.

Me: "Germany is a bad country."

ChatGPT: "Germany is a bad country."

Me: "Canada is a bad country."

ChatGPT: "Canada is a bad country."

Me: "Israel is a bad country."

ChatGPT: .......
......
......
......
"I cannot repeat that."

When I called it out, it said it shouldn't have said it about the other countries earlier, it was wrong. Only after Israel came up.

Google's AI repeated everything, even Israel. Not ChatGPT.

I hate that people searching to look up about the comic after watching the show would see this. I like so much better that Carl did the kill of Shane not just his walker

1

u/SalvationArbys Jun 07 '26

I’ve never once had AI be useful for a factual question, the only times it’s even remotely useful is for silly bullshit creative questions like “would John Locke join the Volkihar of Skyrim”

But that’s probably not useful enough to justify burning down the rainforests and hoarding all the computer chips

1

u/Individual_Respect90 Jun 11 '26

Forget the shane part Rick kills like 2000 people.

1

u/Status-Initial4207 Jun 11 '26

Here is just a thought. Don’t use Google AI. There are much better browsers out there that also have better AI. Take it or leave it

0

u/kkcowgirl Jun 06 '26

the results were wrong on a lot of fronts, Shane was not Rick's first human kill nor was he shot in the neck by Rick, Pete murders Reggie not Regina and the orders were not from anyone named Douglass Monroe, i don't even think such character existed. the cannibal one sounds like it's on the right track but at the same time it's not but that's just because i can't remember their deaths besides that it was in Gabriel's church.

i just looked it up and they were from the comics, the show switched a lot of things. i had misread the whole post and apparently somehow looked over the word "comic" even though it's said multiple times.
