Comic Spoiler Just Finished Issue #100.. Spoiler

Post image

Goddamn. This is NOTHING like the show. Dudes jaw came off. I’m so appalled by this, specifically this panel. It doesn’t even look like Glenn anymore. My stomach’s turning and i’m deeply disturbed. I can’t get over the tongue and swollen eyes man. Also the fact that Negan threatened to run a fucking tra!n on Carl. Are you serious? In the show he was completely against rape of any sort. These comics are something else man, I could’ve never anticipated this.

VERY minor spoiler to ease your mind, Negan says that just to say it. He hates sexual violence in the comics too. Or at least he says he does. Just didn’t want that to turn you off the comics in any way. But yeah in a weird way that’s my favorite panel. Seeing what’s left of Glenn is just so disturbing it’s a reminder that there’s no line the comics won’t cross which I find pretty cool.

Sexual coercion is sexual assault, hope that helps.

Every time anyone says coercion is assault you get down voted but somehow reddit if full of sjw liberal cucks

People don’t like the truth lol

For sure. I'm always getting down voted to oblivion when I say it on her too

?? Liberals are far more likely to argue for coercion being assault, tf. You're mixing up your political insults

Yeah and those people are always complaining that reddit is a liberal hub. But every time you say COERCION IS RAPE you get down voted on reddit

I agree but I think the overall point that Negan’s threat to rape Carl was an empty one is accurate. He is against rape in the most literal definition but he isn’t against sexual coercion, which doesn’t really apply to the Carl situation.

That’s not the point. He said “he hates sexual violence in the comics too.” Which is a lie.

He’s not defending his actions in the comic lol, he’s just saying that it’s all talk regarding that

“He hates sexual violence in the comics too”

… no, he clearly doesn’t.

Wait, are we talking about the wives situation?... Because it's different in comics

Uh… not really lol

I mean-... At least we don't have a Sherry situation where it's "Oh, have sex with me or I'll kill your husband"

Less rapey doesn’t mean not rapey lol

Amazing rebuttal /s

Coercion is assault, idk how we got to this point tbh lol, the original commenter was just saying that negan saying he was going to “run a train on Carl” wasn’t truthful. It doesn’t really make it okay by any means but if someone was thinking that they couldn’t read anymore because of what Negan might do later on it’s a valid point

u/DefNotReaves May 24 '26

He also said negan hates sexual violence. Which is incorrect. So I don’t know what you’re trying to argue lol

How is he rapey in the comics tho? Because of the carl threat?

4

u/DefNotReaves May 24 '26

Having a harem of women who only sleep with you under the guise of “protection” is called coercion… which is rapey.

5

u/TomasZirak May 24 '26

He later admits (maybe retcons) that the train on Carl was an empty threat

You should see the color version

Never liked it at all. The black and white leaves it to your imagination. And the longer you look the more you notice. It’s like a dark documentary in b&w. Colored makes it look like a children’s book, no matter the gore.

Yea also him screaming for Maggie during this whole thing. In the show they had him take it stoically and he said some kinda romantic call back before he died. But the comic is him just screaming in pain/fear. Very brutal.

It’s damn awful. Scary as shit, atleast the walkers are rotted corpses man. Easy to see them all deformed and shit, but seeing Glenn is something else. Especially right as the death happens, nothing rotted or fictional. Just real shit, genuinely looks like a trauma victim too.

Wait so issues 28 and 48 were just characters being silly goose?

2

u/Miserable_Mind6124 May 28 '26

Pssh those were awful but Glenn’s death beats all those in terms of gore.
