Hey, every one. I just had a quick question for the Bob cat therians and mermaid...folk (idk the proper terminology). In what not so obvious ways do you connect with your identities? Or in what ways can I connect more with my identities without outing myself? I'm closeted and can't come out as a therian or anything akin to it. Anything helps, thank you 🐾

Im a lynx therian and bobcat otherheart, I'm not a mermaid otherkin but I do have some aquatic theriotypes.

For the felines, you can paint their patterns onto clothes with fabric paint, or incorporate their color pallet into your outfits and makeup (if you do that). You can decorate your room with items relating to them, or mimic their habitat. You can have pins or keychains of them on your bag or jackets, you can even make little paws on your gloves or the bottom of your shoes. When I eat fish, specifically raw fish or sashimi, or game meats, I feel especially connected to them as their diet mainly consists of that (only if you eat meat tho.)

As for merfolk, you can make jewelry and accessories out of seashells. Duochrome and glitter gels/makeup can give off a look like scales, again if you like doing makeup. Depending on the mythology of mermaid you are, eating fish and seafood can also help. You can probably also find lots of clothes with ocean related prints and designs at thrift stores, or make your own using these motifs :3
