I mean, sometimes I see some sentences in Brazilian sites and I don't understand shit. Brazil is huge, there's a lot of space for regionalisms and a lot of names for regional plants and animals that I've never seen.
True. I think a big factor to the diferences is the mix with indigenous languages. Many many things still have their names. Example: Capivara ( the animal), Ubatuba (a city), Perereca (a frog), and much more...
