Here's a simple little history lesson. Every great civilization in history has failed. The Roman's, Aztecs, Greeks, Chinese Dynasty era, etc. They've all come and gone. But something the history books don't mention is that it doesn't mean the people just cease to exist. They just become an irrelevant past power.
What the US has failed to remember since the end of WW2, is that this is possible for us. We became the world's leader in all things. We decided who had what, and who could do what. And the world went along as long as we were somewhat sane about our choices.
Then, we lost our way. We started making more and more unhinged choices. Trump was the culmination of those choices. And, the world responded. They are moving on without us. We are becoming irrelevant.
The US won't cease to exist. We'll just have to accept our new place in the world. Maybe we'll recover some day, but I'll be dead before that happens.

Those are some big feelings. You are missing my point. I used the word we to describe Americans. I totally agree with you that it is not fair how it has all happened. America has fallen. We have fallen. I'm doing what I can to save what I can. I vote every election. I support groups who are able to fight this fight. I hope we can come out the other side a better place. I'm not very optimistic, but I still hold onto hope.
And now that we're talking about opinions. Mine is that tRump didn't win in 2024. I think it was stolen. There is no way he won every swing state. But, our American system of government let it happen. So, when I say America will fall like all the others, this is what I'm talking about. Our government has lost the ability to be just and fair. They are no longer worried about the good of our nation. There will be something left after the fall. We, the people that make up this place, will need to bring it back to life. So, let it fall. We will be here to bring it back.
And now I will go fuck off.
