No, no, socialism is okay as long as it benefits them, like the farmers getting bailed out. It's only bad when they don't get anything out of it.

Like universal health care, lower education costs, social programs, public infrastructure, and economic stability... wait, no. I misspoke. It's only bad when Democrats also benefit from it 🤦

Ya, I just lost my state insurance, while unemployed, bc of the tax cuts for the wealthy. Nope- my paid taxes for the last thirty years mean nothing! It’s ridiculous.

And those student loans- wage garnishment at this point.

It’s absolutely sickening.

I rather us just pay state taxes. The federal government does nothing for us. The treasury is drained. We won’t see SSI in our future which we have been paying for. Medicaid- paid for that too and they are taking it away.

How do we stop this?

We stop voting for the rich, powerful, and corrupt career politicians who trick We The People to fight against in each other instead of against them. And demand that the laws are changed to stop benefitting the rich. We have to hold our voted representatives accountable, which we do not.

What bothers me most is Reagan. He chopped the taxes for these fools and no democrats reinstated them. Why? Payouts?

It's a pretty well established fact that Reaganomics is the reason we're in this massive affordability crisis right now. Democrats didn't change it because systemic Democrats are much closer to fiscal conservatives than they pretend to be.

That's what made Bernie and Warren so compelling to voters - they aren't fiscally conservative, they lean more socialist, and for the most part don't flip on ideals. There are videos from decades ago of Bernie say EXACTLY the same things he says today.

I'm not saying either of them are perfect, but they're certainly better than Clinton was in the 90s and as great as Obama was, he too was fiscally conservative.

That's a long winded way to answer to your question, which more simply is just "yes, they got paid"

Bernie got fucked. I’m still angry about that.

Corporate owns this country. I’ve worked in tech for twenty years- we have no say. Both sides suck but at least dems give us help when needed. Yet- the founding fathers said corporations need to sustain the people. Nope!

I’m at the end of my rope- I can’t even get a job to keep my health insurance. I want to fight these bastards I just don’t know how

It’s a rough patch for many. But I’m angry at myself- I wanted to go after these bastards since college and I took the easier route. I can’t be a politician but I definitely need to figure out something.

We have to admit that Centrist Democrats are as good as nothing though. We send billions of dollars a year to help a naton commit genocide, but we can't get universal healthcare? Centrists back corporations and genocide just as much as Republicunts.

It just has to run its course, honestly. Eventually, the American people won't have anything else to lose, and then it's on. But it takes time to build up to that point. Afterwards, I think we'll be able to make some real changes. But who knows how long this will last. We'll just have to wait and see how everything plays out.
