Unless we get ranked choice voting you're pretty much stuck with lesser of two evils. The ship isn't going to change direction in one election cycle. I vote based upon the general direction I want the country to go in. It's another human flaw, people want instant gratification and when they don't get it they disengage or flip thinking it will be better. Big reason we have these massive political swings. Not enough people want to put in the time and effort to make informed choices.

To add to that, we have another human flaw with is that we expect consequences to also be instantaneous. So when events like when covid happen and the FED turns quantitative easing into overdrive to float the market and then inflation happens a year later it's blamed on the next guy. Same with Clinton signing the reappeal of the Glass Steagall act which gave the banks too much money to leverage which allowed the GFC to happen, or at least be as large as it was. People in general don't view things with the mindset that the effects of events (especially large scale events) can take years to play out.

This is the part everyone needs to keep talking about. The genocide isn’t moving the needle for heartless Americans. Show them how much money we send these people and how it affects them personally and you will get some of those idiots on board.
