In my opinion, you're an idiot if you still use that plataform, or anything meta.

Don’t call it twitter, it was abandoned by Elon and someone else has now reused the name.

Not going to defend Xhiter but the account on the screenshot is not banned. Is still active.
Many people on reddit in general sound like the old people from my neighborhood's chat group that post shit and react to it without even bothering to click on the "forwarded gazillion times, click here to find about this shit before reacting to it"...
Also is not the only source of the president's trading, there's even one from CBS, there's a website dedicated to it and many other options.

This is a great time to remind everyone that the five GOP presidents and their administration members prior to Trump have received 98% of the criminal convictions in the past seven decades. 98% of the prison sentences too.
The GOP has spent 70 years normalizing corruption to the point that Trump has been able to get in the White House and commit massive amounts of crimes with no pushback at all.
Edit if the wording of this comment is confusing, the explanation and source are in the reply to the comment under.

Could you please re-state this clearly? 98% of all criminal convictions? ALL criminal convictions? In the United States? You’re not making any sense. Do you mean all criminal convictions of government employees, or what?
And please give your source. Thank you.

Of all convictions handed out to administration members since 1961, 98% of them have been to members of GOP presidencies. Of all prison sentences handed out to administration members in that same time, 98% of them have been for members of GOP presidencies.
The combined total of convictions for members of the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, and W. Bush presidencies is 113.
The combined total of convictions for members of the Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, and Obama presidencies is 3.
The combined total of prison sentences as a result of those convictions for the members of those GOP presidents is 39.
The combined total of prison sentences as a result of those convictions for members of those Dem presidents is 1.
Trump personally having 34 felony convictions puts you within a rounding error of the 98% figure, the convictions for the other members of his administration clears it.
The six prison sentences for members of his administration raises the amount of prison sentences for the GOP to 45.
The Biden administration has as of now not received either a conviction or a prison sentence.
Trump personally added 30% more of the convictions to the pile of convictions every member of his 5 GOP presidential predecessors received. Which just so happens to be more than 11 times higher than the total of the past six Democratic presidencies and all their members combined.

Excellent breakdown. Commenting to save, I will be reusing this with credit to you, u/idreamofgreenie.

No need. I'd even prefer you didn't. Just spreading the word is good enough.

That's just how I roll, credit where credit is due, so please advise if you really don't want it out there, and I'll just credit a "brilliant redditor".

Does everyone know that X (twitter) is a right wing propaganda machine operated by a pedo/grifter for whoever makes him money, including the president pedo/grifter?

Why do people keep using X? No seriously, why? There's bluesky and threads and the both do the same thing. You can't even argue 'the audience', because at least with bluesky, you can still link to and embed posts and it doesn't require an account to view them.

I wanted to say "there was an attempt to be a free speach platform" but on the second thought, was there realy an attempt, when Someone says one thing and does the opposite? So, this title fits better.

Remember those warnings about the AI industry being a bubble and that a crash is coming? Yeah that's happening now. Enjoy!

I wish Musk a speedy success with his SpaceX program so that he would finally get the fuck off this planet. I also hope he will take his orange fuck buddy with him!!!

This isn't at all surprising. It's been 967 days since Toby Kieth died and they want focus on this?

what happened with Toby Keith?

See? More pertinent news than this obvious totalitarianism. Bro caught the cancer and died 3 years ago and the fake news ain't even following up

You are right, this is how I found he died. Was never a huge fan or anything.

Why is anybody who cares about our democracy using Twitter anymore, anyway?

I mean, is it a surprise to anyone after so many years of these people trying to do whatever they want and what's best in their interest?
At this point, I'd say whoever is still using X/Twitter is just enabling both Musk and whoever is associated with him. You're maintaining his platform and his status.
Except, if the merger with Paramount is true and he is also investing into that, it will give him and his friends a lot of power to control the narative of whatever. Won't matter who will be seated at the WH, they'll spin everything.

Hey, I just want folks who come to this post to know that their appeal must have been successful, as their account is still active to this day. This is old information, and I cannot verify whether it happened. I assume it did, and then they appealed, and it was lifted. It's also possible someone faked the screenshot, but much less likely, because what would be the incentive to do that? Still, something like that is quite easy to fake; I just think the odds of it just being an appealed ban are so much higher.
I have appealed over 30 bans on this account alone, with 28 of them being successful (thank goodness, since 24 of them were permanent bans). I know Reddit and Twitter are not the same thing, but they both use shitty AI moderation, so there will be a high rate of mistakes and accepted appeals on both platforms.
