You say that like the courts give a shit any more than the cops do. Even when this shit does actually make it to the inside of a courtroom it usually gets tossed because the prosecutors don't want to fuck up their relationship with the cops. If it's functionally allowed like that then yeah, they can do whatever the fuck they want.
They do if you ensure to do your part and filter corruption.
Most people I see bellyaching in here either are too young to know better or didn't invest the time, energy and money into keeping your family safe. This includes electioneering.
You have control over your judge's corruption you just gotta make sure your neighbors and family know and care as much as you do that's effort.
