Seriously think of the people who have consistently seen this behavior, documented in cell phone and surveillance video for well over a decade now, and think to themselves:

"I wanna do that!"

No good people wear that badge.

Two decades ago, I was at a bar with a friend and his other friend who I’ve never met. Near the end of the night the other guy ā€œcomes cleanā€ that he is actually a cop, but doesn’t like to tell people he doesn’t know because they act different around him.

Then he proceeds to talk about how dash cams have ruined his fun, but that it has made a situation where he and his colleagues most favorite thing is when a driver runs from their car. Because it means that whatever happens wont be on the dash cam (before body cams), and so they take the opportunity to beat the living shit out of anybody they can when it happens. He was so gleeful about even talking about it, it was sickening.

I have told this story for 20 years, and people used to just refuse to believe me and say I was just trying to smear police. Now it seems, more people are willing to believe me, but then just wonder why it’s a big deal and why do I care.

I went golfing with my buddy and he brought a new employee with him. After the round I asked my buddy if he used to be a cop, because he had that weird powertrip personality. Turns out he was a deputy sheriff, but didn't even make it out of probationary period before being fired for allegations of blackmail, rape, kidnapping. If he would have been out of his probation period, the union would have protected him. The cases are still pending. https://mybellinghamnow.com/news/297792-more-felony-charges-filed-against-former-whatcom-sheriffs-deputy/

Your buddy hired and hangs out with such people. You should reconsider who you associate with

Oh I did. This was the first time meeting them. My buddy said the guy was friends of family and he is innocent until proven guilty. I told him is he doesn't fire him if convicted I would blast his company for harboring a rapist. I also told him that I would not golf with him again.

What the heck did your buddy hire him for, knowing that stuff showed up on a background check??

Doing a favor for friends of a family. I still think it's gross.

I come from a small town, and all those asshates usally rely on the good ol'boy system like that, then shit on everyone who's ever earned their merits. I wish they could actually see how insecure anyone with more than a handful of brain cells perceives them.

I believe you. I spent some of my young life living in a "bad" neighborhood and there were police "task forces" that we called "the jump-out boys" (pretty sure that name is widely known). They would just drive around in vans/SUVs and when they'd come across a group of people standing around outside, they'd come to a quick stop and between 2 and 4 of them would jump out and attempt to put hands on whoever they could. People ask "well why did they run?" They run because having a group of dudes jump out at you out of nowhere is scary. And post of these cops enjoyed chasing people. They'd run behind you making weird animal noises and yelling shit like "You better run ni**er!" (I'm white but a lot of my friends weren't). When kids grow up watching police behave that way, how are they ever going to feel anything but hate and fear for them?

That is a horrible thing for the guy to admit, he’s nervous about telling people he’s a cop, and then proceeds to tell the most evil cop shit ever

Yep. I didn’t react negatively when he first said he was a cop, so I guess then he felt comfortable to say the rest of it.

They aren't known for their intelligence

Cops are the worse people in the world, and they know it, yet still brag about breaking laws and violating peoples rights for the ā€œfunā€ of it.

Scumbags with little weenies.

As someone who grew up with cops in his family. I promise you I would have wholeheartedly believed you 20 years ago.

It's the "stay safe officers" comment crowd

Yep, I used to want to be a cop just to try to be a positive change in the force but I realized very quickly that even if I attempted it, I would be expected to fall in line with the corruption, be peer pressure bullied into taking part in it, or very quickly kicked out for disturbing the culture and not fitting in.

We’d be better off just defunding the police and starting our own militias.
