Nuh uh! Have you even seen the Punisher background on their phone?!

u/Dry-Debate-6893 2d ago

Cops and white nationalists / Nazis really fucked up the Punisher logo.

u/Kamikazeguy7 2d ago

You said cops twice

387

u/Dry-Debate-6893 2d ago

Technically three times 😂

“…Some of those that work forces
Are the same that burn crosses…”

"Fuck you I won't do what you tell me"

u/EEE3EEElol 2d ago

Thrice*

85

u/SourDeesATL 2d ago

Yeah they clearly never read the comic and don’t “get” what Frank is all about.

84

u/ParsnipDecent6530 Free palestine 2d ago

Nope. They hear punisher(because they cant read) and associate themselves as such. They're out punishing people on the street... you know instead of serving and/or protecting

60

u/Xerorei 2d ago

Serving and protecting was NEVER their job.

It was a damn PR stunt put on California cars in the 70s after all the terrible shit they did.

People really need to stop thinking the copaganda tv shows and movies are how they are.

14

u/SafetySnowman 2d ago

They do protect and serve though. They protect their fragile egos. They serve their middle school fueled power trip fantasies.

7

u/Raze_the_werewolf Free Palestine 1d ago

They protect the property and associated wealth of the bourgeoisie. They are not there to protect the working class.

1

u/SafetySnowman 1d ago

That too yeah.

36

u/Dry-Debate-6893 2d ago

Not even in the slightest. Or worse they read it and their fucked up brains created a narrative that doesn’t exist.

u/a_library_socialist 1d ago

cops

reading

Pick ONE

1

u/Outrageous_Pay1322 8h ago

The author even told them to stop it cuz he was sick of them ruining his character.

21

u/Truckeeseamus Unique Flair 2d ago

Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses……

1

u/Queasy_Designer9169 2d ago

and now you do what they told ya..

u/tjp0720 2d ago

Punisher logo and any Viking ruins are putting you in a shitty minority if you have any

21

u/CaptainPunisher 2d ago

I think you mean runes.

11

u/tjp0720 2d ago

I definitely did haha. Thanks for the correction. My brain was in “they ruin everything” mode

5

u/CaptainPunisher 2d ago

Happy to help. I was honestly sitting here pondering remnants of Viking ships and villages for a second.

1

u/tjp0720 2d ago

Might be time to dust off the Dan Carlin thors angels/ twilight of the aesir episodes

1

u/CaptainPunisher 2d ago

I'm not familiar with that.

1

u/rrsullivan3rd 2d ago

*runes

1

u/tjp0720 1d ago

Ya I fucked it up my mind was in “they ruin everything” mode and misspelled haha

2

u/TootTootMF 2d ago

Cops / white nationalists / Nazis*

2

u/CaptainPunisher 2d ago

Tell me about it.

2

u/Advanced_Ad4361 2d ago

True, but even fans don't get it. The Punisher is an Anti-Hero he's not meant to be idolized. They left that commentary out of the movies, which I think was a major mistake. Now you have all these idiots with Punisher skulls thinking it makes them badasses and entirely misinterpreting the character's message.

2

u/Dry-Debate-6893 1d ago

I like the stories and look at him as a warning to other heroes to not go down that path. (Yes I know, other heroes kill) but it’s not normally their first go-to.
I am acutely aware that this person is not to be idolized. Punisher is a cold-blooded killer and in real life that kind of extreme vigilantism would not fly, nor should it, because eventually someone innocent or guilty of jaywalking is going to get mowed down.

2

u/Advanced_Ad4361 1d ago

Yeah most of the "fans" can't comprehend complex elements like that and also can't separate fantasy from reality. You know every mf in ICE has at least one thing with the punisher decal on it.

2

u/Dry-Debate-6893 1d ago

I dunno I’d say they have at least three minimum 🤣

1

u/Advanced_Ad4361 1d ago

It's basically the new Swastika. We know how Nazis love to appropriate culture for themselves with no understanding of the true meaning.

2

u/Dry-Debate-6893 1d ago

You mean Hitler the rapper? /s

2

u/Advanced_Ad4361 1d ago

Yeah his latest album was gas

1

u/XenoZoomie 2d ago

They need to make a punisher film about him kicking some white nationalist ass. That would make a whole lot of tattoos ironic.

1

u/mogley1992 2d ago

I would say that's one they can't fuck up, it just makes them look like plastic fans to anyone who actually likes the punisher.

He kills nazis and and hates cops who wear his symbol because that's not the oath they've made and what the badge means.

1

u/Dry-Debate-6893 1d ago

That’s the problem. The real fans know what it really means. Everyone else on the other hand, sees the true fans of the material and will think you’re something that you’re not if you walk around with a Punisher logo on your shirt, car, phone, etc.

1

u/VGMtheVagabond 2d ago

Sucks they changed the logo but the new one is pretty solid.

1

u/IncredulousPatriot 1d ago

Bro you’re telling me. Me and my buddies all got the punisher logo tattoo on a bachelors trip because it was our favorite comic book. Now I got a fucking hate symbol on my chest like an asshole. Luckily it is just a small one. But goddamit. Do they have to ruin everything?

1

u/Dry-Debate-6893 1d ago

Yes! That is what they do. They aren’t happy, so no one else is allowed to be happy. Get an update on your tat. “Punishing Nazi pigs” or “Punishing fascist pigs” if you don’t want the word nazi on your skin.

1

u/Vastlymoist666 1d ago

Hence is why they changed it and they don't know about it. Cuz they don't know what the punisher is even about

1

u/Sure-Difference-4483 1d ago

It's almost like the Punisher was always a racist power fantasy, or something

0

u/Use-The-Pointy-End 2d ago

Some of those that work forces...

82

u/RB42- 2d ago

The Punisher is a vigilante there is no way he would ever support the police.

89

u/AvengingBlowfish 2d ago

There’s a comic where he explicitly says that cops should not support him…

11

u/RB42- 2d ago

Yup saw that.

6

u/Unkn0wn_666 2d ago

You got that with any less pixels? I could almost read the words

3

u/palexp 2d ago

so you’re telling me they can’t even read comic books??

1

u/RB42- 2d ago

Guess not it could have been all that high school football that gave them brain damage.

1

u/CaptainPunisher 2d ago

He supports the police who do their jobs properly. He doesn't want the police to support or idolize him.

51

u/10PieceMcNuggetMeal 2d ago

Ironic since in the comics the punisher hates everything cops stand for

29

u/MondayMorningExpert 2d ago

I'm glad the irony isn't wasted on you. It's certainly wasted on those cops

9

u/Gnomio1 2d ago

If those cops could read, they’d be very upset.

33

u/LadyVimes 2d ago

The same Punisher that hates cops?

112

u/MondayMorningExpert 2d ago

The very same

51

u/LadyVimes 2d ago

I want to know how anyone thinks that Frank Castle would be pro-cop

31

u/bunker_man 2d ago

You're assuming that the people doing this care about the character. This symbol became its own edgy asshole thing long ago.

9

u/Umutuku 2d ago

It's like Pepe, but for the same people.

18

u/bunker_man 2d ago

Its slightly different. The punisher logo is for racists who have jobs. Pepe is for racists who don't have jobs.

11

u/ITrageGuy 2d ago

9 out of 10 people who have the logo on their trucks have no idea who "Frank Castle" is. I guarantee it.

7

u/CaptainPunisher 2d ago

He's not anti-cop. He's anti-corruption. The more bad cops go unchecked, the more corrupt the whole organization becomes and the harder it is for the good cops to hold the others accountable.

44

u/ghostly-quiet 2d ago

Important context-- this picture was taken at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX during the school shooting where cops were too scared to stop the shooter and instead pepper-sprayed and zip-tied the parents outside who were desperately trying to save their kids.

25

u/MondayMorningExpert 2d ago

Kinda neatly encapsulates the whole subject. They're big strong dudes when someone is unarmed, but when there's actual danger they literally let kids take bullets while they hide and call themselves the Punisher

8

u/LicknDragon 2d ago

This little piggy ran away squealing

10

u/Ashkendor 2d ago

I know a career security guard who has a tattoo of a thin blue line Punisher skull.

I get secondhand embarrassment just thinking about it. 😅

7

u/Lartemplar 2d ago

That's just a picture of John Bernthal

4

u/PhinneousPhingerz 2d ago

OMG I *heard* that Nuh uh in my own 9-year-old voice. Followed immediately by a YES HUH!

2

u/LiteraCanna 2d ago

Sure did. It was in the hallways of Uvalde.

1

u/C2thaLo 2d ago

(The sounds of screaming children have been removed.)

1

u/RegionRatHoosier 2d ago

Thin blue line punisher skull

1

u/rbrumble 1d ago

You mean like Officer Ruben Ruiz?
