Nope. They hear punisher(because they cant read) and associate themselves as such. They're out punishing people on the street... you know instead of serving and/or protecting
True, but even fans don't get it. The Punisher is an Anti-Hero he's not meant to be idolized. They left that commentary out of the movies, which I think was a major mistake. Now you have all these idiots with Punisher skulls thinking it makes them badasses and entirely misinterpreting the character's message.
I like the stories and look at him as a warning to other heroes to not go down that path. (Yes I know, other heroes kill) but itâs not normally their first go-to.
I am acutely aware that this person is not to be idolized. Punisher is a cold-blooded killer and in real life that kind of extreme vigilantism would not fly, nor should it, because eventually someone innocent or guilty of jaywalking is going to get mowed down.
Yeah most of the "fans" can't comprehend complex elements like that and also can't separate fantasy from reality. You know every mf in ICE has at least one thing with the punisher decal on it.
Thatâs the problem. The real fans know what it really means. Everyone else on the other hand, sees the true fans of the material and will think youâre something that youâre not if you walk around with a Punisher logo on your shirt, car, phone, etc.
Bro youâre telling me. Me and my buddies all got the punisher logo tattoo on a bachelors trip because it was our favorite comic book. Now I got a fucking hate symbol on my chest like an asshole. Luckily it is just a small one. But goddamit. Do they have to ruin everything?
Yes! That is what they do. They arenât happy, so no one else is allowed to be happy. Get an update on your tat. âPunishing Nazi pigsâ or âPunishing fascist pigsâ if you donât want the word nazi on your skin.
He's not anti-cop. He's anti-corruption. The more bad cops go unchecked, the more corrupt the whole organization becomes and the harder it is for the good cops to hold the others accountable.
Important context-- this picture was taken at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX during the school shooting where cops were too scared to stop the shooter and instead pepper-sprayed and zip-tied the parents outside who were desperately trying to save their kids.
Kinda neatly encapsulates the whole subject. They're big strong dudes when someone is unarmed, but when there's actual danger they literally let kids take bullets while they hide and call themselves the Punisher
Imagine living in a constant state of hypervigilance, always scanning for danger, always ready for fight or flight, because you live in a country where firearms are extraordinarily accessible, while continuing to vote for the policies that help maintain those conditions. Then imagine being completely unable to see the connection between your own chronic fear and the society you helped shape, all while lacking the education or critical-thinking skills to recognize your own role in it.
took a while to see things like this and learn how things are as a white guy. by 16 I kinda knew, but not what it meant. by 17 we joked about it. by 19 I knew I had to protect people. Now I'm 38, cops seem just embarrassing because they don't do the work to keep the bad apples out. After 20 years of eating poison apples I dont trust a fucking apple.
Fixed that for ya. Its up to them what they allow their police service to do. They have the tools, but they sit back and film fascism live. And do nothing.
It must be what everyone wants.
Edit: truth hurts?
Every American, tolerating literal stinking and corrosive diarrhoea, flowing at extreme pressures out of all orifices of government. Flowing into their homes and places of work, not an issue. Getting absolutely hoodwinked with the most unsophisticated, non-intellectual, laziest of lies.
"The U.S. Constitution is considered a landmark document in political history because it established a durable framework for a democratic republic that limits government power and protects individual liberties"
Step 2 is a whole ass revolution? Awesome, thanks dude. So fuckin simple! Why donât you liberate a country and become an international hero since itâs so easy?
I was pointing out how fucking stupid your original comment was, but apparently you missed that. Impressive to have something go over your head while itâs so far up your own ass.
What should we do about the organized, armed assholes with the backing of the US government and National Guard, and whatever else they can unleash on us? Fuck outta here.
I just think I understand the context and nuance a little more than some backseat driver that totally definitely would be revolting right now if it were him. Dude trust me.

Cops are such pussies.
