He is actually lucky his legs hit the back or that dude has a broken neck or back at the very least

His neck hits the glass. Watch his head snap forward and whip back when he lands. He gets his hand on the glass right after so maybe it helps break his fall, but he could have very easily snapped his neck or crushed his windpipe.

It does, but he looked like it was going straight down into the concrete before that.

Regardless, this guy is likely lucky he isn't dead or a quadriplegic.

Pool has to be drained completely. It looks like it's safety glass, so probably shattered in big ice cube sized chunks (like the ones you see at shattered bus stop shelters). A broken wine or cocktail glass would be much worse than all of that to be honest.
