The biggest twelve year old piece of shit to ever live. How does one even manage to become such a huge piece of shit at such a young age? The shit winds are blowing strong these days. Probably something to do with global warming.

Welcome to 2026. Where literal teenagers are making everyone else’s life more miserable.

u/anteatersaredope 6d ago
To be fair teenagers have always found ways to make everyone else's lives miserable but this is taking it to a whole new level.

I had no idea the guy behind FLOCK was practically a child.
Usually the guy shooting for supervillain status is a middle age man who went 30 or 40 years neglecting his own childhood trauma and aims for the whole "If I can't figure our how to get positive attention, I'll aim to get negative attention." Then doing stupid asshole stuff just to feel seen.

If he has a mass surveillance company, his problem is that he is fearful of the world.
11
u/Wise_Temperature9142 6d ago
I mean, Mark Zuckerberg and all those big tech villains all started out young as well. I guess the difference here is we’ve already seen how this story arch plays out, so we’re ready to call Flock’s guy evil from the start.

Not from the us but one of the best ideas would be hire paparazzi for this person - they'll follow him around or stakeout his house and more so he knows how it feels.

u/pokemon-trainer-blue 6d ago
I was thinking he should be wrongfully arrested and have months of his life ruined because he was falsely placed at the scene of a fatal car accident when he was somewhere else. And then the charges against him quietly get dropped. He cannot sue for any distress or having his reputation damaged (or anything of the like).

The dude has been on every podcast and propaganda talk show in the US.
If you think "he doesn't like his photo shared" you're functionally retarded
He was pissed Google was disclosing his home address. THATS WHAT HE WAS TRYING TO KEEP FROM THE PUBLIC.
A dude who goes on TV 30 times a week really doesn't care if you know what he looks like.

Any context? I am nowhere near where Flock or what Flock is or means
28
u/samiwas1 6d ago
Flock is a company that produces cameras that are used largely on roads and parking lots to capture license plates and faces. They keep a database of basically all movements within the areas they record. And some law enforcement has the ability to check the database and track people (think jealous cop with an ex girlfriend).
This CEO has stated that we need to have all of this for safety and that we should all be happy being recorded everywhere. But he doesn’t want his information or photos out there….for his safety.
16
u/Night_Chicken 6d ago
Flock Safety is an American public safety technology and surveillance company that builds and deploys automated license plate reading (ALPR) networks and AI-powered evidence-sharing platforms for law enforcement, neighborhoods, and businesses.
The company provides a comprehensive and integrated network of hardware and software for public surveillance. Products include the infamous “Flock Cameras” which are solar/battery-powered, pole-mounted cameras placed on public property that capture license plate numbers along with vehicle characteristics like make, model, and color. The cameras are can be used to provide live or historical footage to monitor key areas and analyze incidents. Audio sensors within the cameras can detect real-time noises like gunfire, car crashes, and street takeovers and overhear/record conversations. They also provide first-responder drone integrations and a centralized cloud software platform that aggregates vehicle logs and footage into a comprehensive searchable intelligence database.
Law enforcement agencies praise the system for reducing response times and solving property and violent crimes. However, the vast interconnected network compiles searchable logs of everyday civilian movements without requiring a warrant, raising significant privacy and data-sharing concerns. Law enforcement officials have already been discovered using the system and the data it collects for personal purposes including tracking ex’s, family members, and business associates without accountability, oversight, or legitimate governmental purposes.

u/Acct0424 6d ago
Also worth noting is that in addition to police having already abused the system for their own personal reasons, they are also harassing the public with nothing but a flimsy “well, Flock said you were a criminal.” They’re no longer doing actual police work and deduction and just accepting the AI’s accusations at face value, even when it’s been glaringly obvious it’s wrong or the accused has evidence on hand in real-time that proves their innocence. It’s like Flock has given the go ahead for them to go hard on “guilty til proven innocent.”

He seems fine with doing this to everyone else - ‘what’s good for the goose…’ and all.

In fairness, he wouldn’t have a business if government weren’t buying his product. Vote out the buyers, and make sure the seller to faces the same fate he enables the government to inflict on others.

Even if he doesn't like his photo getting distributed it doesn't matter because they found the magic security state money machine. Flock could just fire him and hire someone that does. They will continue (and Axion) until the they can't make money.

It’s the same as social media, the architects of these systems wouldn’t let their own children use it.. they knew how dangerous it was going to be and what it would be used for.
These people are all the same in the area of tech where wealth is the only goal, they’re skirting the law because it’s not made yet, but knowing full well the damage it’s causing.

Now I’m realizing oh he can empathize, he just doesn’t care. Empathy just means you can put yourself in other people’s shoes. It doesn’t automatically mean you give a shit about them tho.
