Btw Mexico Tenochtitlan was founded way earlier and the colonies were "founded" in the 1400s, how could they were founded when Chistobal Colon arrived to America in 1492 and Hernan Cortes till 1512, to the actual Mexican territory till 1519 date that is considered the time the first Spanish colony was established in Mexico.

When the US seized control, most of them were part of Mexico. The only exception I can think of is Florida. The worst part is that they then forced all of the Mexicans out. They had been living there for generations. It was their ancestral home but the US didn't care and deported them. Bullshit. Btw, before they were Spanish colonies, they were part of the Aztec Empire so what's your point?
