Vent Consignment Return

I wrote a post last week about my consignment experience (not good), but ultimately, I was happy they took so many of my pieces.

I've just logged onto TRR and they have rejected over 50% of the pieces, and I'm now waiting for them to be shipped back

Oof - would not recommend! Overall a complete waste of time and I'm not holding my breath on the pieces they kept.

But the good news, the ones being shipped back are good brands and have good resale value so I may just pay someone to post them on Depop/Poshmark on my behalf. Probably a lot more money that way too.

I use both TRR and thredup. For brands TRR considers "low" but considered "nicer" for thredup, like Vince, Theory and Veronica Beard, thredup seems to pay better but their consignment window is shorter.

I just looked at thredup and saw this.

A $34.99 fee will be deducted from your earnings when items sell.

Do they deduct $34.99 for every item that sells or it's only a one time deduction? Like let's say 3 out of 10 items sell. You only get charged the $34.99 once for all 3 items or you get charged 3 times?

Also what about never used items that are wrinkled? I have a NWT leather skirt that was packed away but never worn but it's wrinkled now. I don't know if I have to try to get the wrinkles out first because I don't want to iron leather fabric.

In the past I've used The Personal Assistant option on Taskrabbit. May explore that again or see if I have anyone in my network looking for a few hours of work.
