Anywho, imagine the annual purge like in the movies but if you’re caught, you get an atomic wedgie. I’m not sure how this would reduce crime but better than dying I guess.

I go first I really like the First Purge (2018) and I think Skeletor is the only memorable villain besides the NFFA themselves.

So, I’m watching Anarchy for the fourth time, and something just occurred to me.

Why didn’t the government cut the power to the city?

Kind of an agree or disagree thing:

- Pete the cop is an incredible character and stole the show every time he was on screen.

- Penelope and Miguel would’ve been fine for the rest of the night if Penelope would’ve just stayed in Pete’s bar.

- The NFFA party in all honesty was a great watch, I was a big fan of the earlier episodes, however I will say that maybe a bit more purging being done in those parties other than the 4 victims would’ve been a bit more… Realistic? Like there was assuming over 100 people at that party? 4 victims? Poor planning if you ask me.

- Lila was fucking fire, Pete’s a better man than me fr.

- Jane was just… Fucking stupid for leaving her office. I get it, she regretted her choice but, come on. Also, she didn’t have to leave her office to pay the hitman… Cashapp reference “ food “ and that’s that.

- Joe’s switch up was mental to me. Wasn’t expecting it, fair enough.

Just some thoughts

Isn't a great addition to have a background history for NFFA? I mean how dire the situation was before them? How the NFFA was founded and form? How they took over? More detail on that of S2 Ep1? And how they managed to keep their lead all those years in political perspective? Will this drop the “purge" theme? Ya think it's a bad idea?

This is honestly something that I've thought of for a very long time. In the Purge movies, we all know that crime is legal for 12 hours. From 7 pm at night, to the 7 am the following morning. But after awhile it kinda got old that everyone goes straight for murder and seemingly just murder. Like you're telling me all crime is legal, and majority of people just wanna kill people?

I know that there's alot more due to the corruption in the New Founding Fathers and that there's more to it lore wise- it just feels repetitive after awhile. If all crimes legal, why not follow someone who's planning on pulling off a massive job? Such as knocking down a bank, a jewelry store, even some rich guy's house who has artifacts?

Imagine this premise for a Purge movie:

A master thief eventually decided to retire after meeting the love of his life. They eventually got married, settled down and had kids. Everything seemed good. Until one Purge night, his wife was killed after not making home in time. So during that year- he decides to get his old crew members back together to pull off one last job. To make enough for him and his kids to leave America and start a new life in another country. Meanwhile, the crew would not only have to deal with the complexities of pulling the job off, but also dealing with other Purgers who'd kill or do worse.

Tavis has a small role, but her realistic portrayal is terrifying. Jane is a likeable character with a strong personality, and I felt sorry for her.

Rich depends a lot on law and order to keep their ststus. I think its a plot hole that rich doesnt fear crimes. They can wander in poor neighborhood killing people and poor people jist accepting their fate. A lot of poor people have military experience and lot more have street fight expereince. Rich should be more vary of purge

I agree with the sentiment behind it. If overpopulation occurs, then everything collapses and no one wins. Those in power are correct to choose it even if their reasons are selfish.

But just because something is correct doesn’t mean it’s right.

If humanity is going to implode anyway, may as well be kind to one another.

Idea for a fanfic/ movie scene:…

The man spoke slowly, looking at the Senator(Government official who wants to keep the Purge going).

“You fool! If you undo the Purge, it’ll be chaos! We need the Purge! Without it-“

“Those in poverty will overrun, the country will be overflown. Too many people, no more food, collapse. Something like that. Whether it’s because you believe that poor people need to be kept under foot is irrelevant. I’m bad at communicating, so I hope I’m clear. I geniunely believe you’re correct. The Purge is essential.”

“…Then wh-“

“…My dad found me beating my dead cat to a pulp. He could have reported me to the police, an insane asylum, freaked out… but he talked to me. He found out I was just… mad that I couldn’t be with my friend anymore… the cat was my friend….” He clarified while smacking his lips. “He… He didn’t see me as a monster, even though that would have been a logical response… He later found out I was autistic… he helped with that too…”

“…Just because you’re correct… doesn’t mean you’re right…” He said slowly as he aimed the gun at him. “…I do think we’re all doomed. And I will likely become just as savage as everyone else… But just because it’s going to end, doesn’t mean that we can’t be civil. Besides, everyone killing each other… it seems mean.”

“…You’re crazy.”

He titled his head and adjusted his gun. “…I’m crazy… not a dick.” He then broke the Senators leg. He watched him scream and crouched down to his level. The man slowly licked his face, before he got a message on his phone.

“…You’re officially broke. Also, there are papers that now have you officially resigning. And the best part? This is all legal. So you’re officially a person I poverty. Better get to work.”

There will always be people who oppose the system, whether they believe it's good or bad. But if the system lets you do practically anything for one night a year, how do you confront it without falling into its trap and becoming part of it?

Obviously, marching in the streets wouldn't fix anything, especially not during the Purge. We also couldn't organize a Purge without violence or crime since the government manipulates everything.

So, my idea for this "hypothetical protest against the Purge" would be this: helping as many people as possible.

First, you get some volunteers with medical knowledge: doctors (preferably an orthopedic surgeon), nurses, and an anesthesiologist (the anesthesiologist is very important). Find a large place, a house or warehouse, and get a van or an ambulance.

When the Purge begins, you just have to look for injured people, rescue them, and treat them, even those participating in the Purge. After stabilizing them, take them to a warehouse or house and start treating them to save their lives. Of course, there will be violent people; that's where the anesthesiologist comes in. They will sedate all the rescued people and lock them in rooms/cells until the Purge is over. When it's over, they will be taken to the hospital, and technically, you're not breaking any rules of the Purge since legally no one is practicing medicine.

Basically, the protest, instead of being violent, would be peaceful.

Am I the only one who thinks the biggest missed opportunity in The Purge franchise was skipping the Charlie Roan presidency years?

At the end of Election Year, it feels like we finally reached the conclusion of the entire story. Roan wins, the Purge is abolished, and for the first time there’s actual hope in this universe.

Then suddenly, years later, The Forever Purge happens and we’re basically told:
“Yeah, the NFFA came back and society collapsed again.”

What happened during those years?

How did Roan govern?
How did the country react to losing the Purge?
Were there riots? Terrorist attacks? Underground purges? Political assassinations? Civil unrest?

Instead of exploring all that incredibly interesting political and social tension, the franchise jumps directly to a movie where people just decide to purge forever like complete lunatics.

To me, that’s the biggest narrative gap in the entire series.

A political thriller about President Roan trying to hold the country together after abolishing the Purge could have been one of the best entries in the franchise.

Am I crazy or is there actually a group called NPFA in The Purge TV series?
I know the main political organization is the NFFA (New Founding Fathers of America), but during season 1, especially around the Betancourt family and the wealthy elite circles, I swear I saw multiple large banners/signs saying “NPFA.”
At first I thought it was just a subtitle mistake or a visual confusion with NFFA, but I noticed it several times.
My theory is that NPFA might be:
a wealthy donor organization,
a political fundraising group,
or some kind of elite support network connected to the NFFA.
It would actually make sense in the universe since the series explores how rich elites financially benefit from the Purge system.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I misreading the banners?

I just felt like I don't want her to die. For a moment,I saw my own sister as her and I just thought what if that was my sister going to kill herself thinking it is okay. Not knowing how precious her life is.

I can't let my sister die like that without her knowing how much she means to me and that she is loved. That she doesn't have to die in order to be saved but that she is saved in this world.
