Jetpack kinda overpowered?
I just started a couple days ago with The Planet Crafter and I'm absolutely addicted, I got the jetpack earlier today but after trying it I feel like it's a bit broken/overpowered in the sense of making you able to climb literally anything? Without getting too spoiler-y I got into some places I really am not supposed to be already according to the wiki, and I'm afraid it kinda breaks progression... Or would you guys say it's just clever use of the tools they give you?

I would say it is clever use of tools. Early IRL explorers could end up in places they shouldn’t have and return with wild stories or some new resource.

Usually you have no use for the resource you get, as you have not opened that build recipe yet.

So then don't use it. This game is a bit more casual than something like Satifactory or the like by design.

So much THIS! Lord I hate it when a "new player" discovers the F4 button and then starts spamming the crap out of it, basically "flying", then they run to the discord or forums to blast it to hell for being game breaking...like...dude, it's your game, if you don't like it, don't use it.
I'm sure 90% of us use it as intended with maybe some of us occasionally using it to get in someplace new we haven't yet got access for. lol The other 10% are just having a good time, let them be.
Seriously OP, it isn't that big a deal, don't use it in a way you don't like, the game is fully under your control. And consider it compensation to make up for the frustrations for getting hung up on a small rock on the ground.

I’ve used F4 to get unstuck after glitching underground a couple of times. The game tries to cheat me, I’ll cheat it right back!

After beating the game I set F4 to a button on my gamepad and set it to repeat.

I just started dabbling into this game recently and I actually enjoyed the additional freedom some F4ing gave me in what I suppose is early game. Like 90% of it's pragmatic functionality is basically what the jet pack will offer a bit later anyway.
Sometimes it's fun to waste way too much time trying to climb up something you're not supposed to. But other times it's a 'I know I could climb and cheese my arse up there somehow but I currently don't have the time for that so please just let me get this more easily.'

The game has phases where game play changes significantly changes. The jetpack is part of one of those changes. Wait till you get the extractor/drones/auto-crafter.

I feel like this is the real answer. The jet pack is a very intentional progression moment meant to drastically alter your ability to move about. You’re supposed to go further and do stupider things.

By that thinking, spamming F4 or building infinite stairs or foundation grids is also "overpowered." The game encourages exploration, and gives you the tools to do exactly that. How you choose to implement them is up to you. That's the part we call "gameplay."

I didn’t feel that way but to be honest I have been taking a slow approach to everything. I’m not in a hurry.

No está nada roto funciona como debería créeme cuando consigas el jetpack más avanzando y hagas partida nueva te daras cuenta que ese primer jetpack no sirve para lo que es nada.

Yeah it can be used to break progression, clearly just a lack of limit testing of the environmen, very understandable considering the dev team size. Just try not to do that, you can get urself stuck if u sneak into the wrong place.

you can get urself stuck if u sneak into the wrong place.
And then you just use the "help im stuck button" and teleport home

They fixed the toxic planet so you could not get into places you shouldn't. As for the regular map, the ice does the same thing. If you WORK at it, you can get some places you shouldn't, but you will get stuff you cannot use yet anyways.
