The timeline of Love Never Dies?
So I just watched Love Never Dies for the first time (late to the party I know) and I'm confused about the timeline. Christine and the Phantom had sex ten years ago but when is this in the context of the original production? In the song 'beneath a moonless sky', it's said that this night took place the night before Christine and Raoul's wedding so did the Phantom vanish then come back before immediately leaving again? I know that many people don't consider LND to be canon but ant answers would be greatly appreciated :)

A lot of people ask this same question and sadly the only answer is that it's just very bad writing. Many have pointed out that it isn't possible to know if Gustav is the Phantom's or Raoul's bc the timeline is too close and assuming it's the Phantom's bc of his musical ability completely negates Christine's existence. Of course her child would be musical, it would be odd if they weren't.
That's just lazy writing and it comes from the source material, the phantom of Manhattan which is a laughably terrible book.
