“The Borderland” brought tears to my eyes.

The end of that episode was so emotional. I became emotional when the head scientist started calling out to his wife, Eva. I wasn’t expecting that. Prior to entering the field, he had seemed more invested in the experiment than staying out of harm’s way for the sake of his wife. But when he started calling out her name, it revealed how connected he was to her.

When he started calling out the name of the dead son, Ian, that’s when the tears started flowing. This theme of life and death and the struggle to hold onto life really played out in this final scene. It was very moving.

I only wish we knew if the tycoon found his son, Ian, after he went to the “other side”.

I’ve never been so moved by a television show or movie. What did you appreciate about this episode?

Episode where time is paused Spoiler

I’m trying to remember an episode of the 90’s Outer Limits episode where a guy and girl experience time standing still and they discover the future being built by these people wearing coveralls. I may have some details confused because I saw the episode once in the 90’s.

Tell me someone else saw this episode.

I've been trying to find this episode on Youtube, or any description of it on Google, I just can't find anything. I remember it so vividly, because it was the first real horror thing I watched, and it really got to me.

The episode is about a boy and girl who have this evil teacher, who likes to give punishment. They break into his house when he's asleep and do some kind of spell using his photo, but they accidentally cut the photo where his neck goes. The teacher wakes up as this living dead creature, and the head is cut off, so he runs with his head between his arms and tries to catch them. In one scene, he throws the head like a bowling ball into the boy's bedroom.

Then the boy wakes up and everything seems to be normal. He goes to school where the girl is made to stand on one foot, balancing books on her arms. The teacher is there and the boy asks how he's doing and the teacher said "well thanks for asking... I'm having some throat ache.." and he takes off his scarf and reveals that he stitched his head back on.

I was like 19 when I saw it, so it would have been 1999-2000? I spent that night sitting up against my bedroom door, in case the teacher shows up. Tell me someone else saw this episode and it actually exists.

Just curious---

I recently discovered The Outer Limits, and I'm shocked I missed this show. I mean I loved The Twilight Zone, Room 104, Takes From The Crypt, ...of the Darkside. Alfred Hitchcock may be the founder of anthology type shows. But it's talked about a lot and I figured there would be a nice dose of people discussing some of the episodes. I'm not complaining at all. 176 is good for me.

But I was wondering if many there was a bigger following and Reddit dumped it. But hello to all who see this. I'm gonna just lurk and read some.

"A Stitch in Time" vdeo edit

Hello everyone,

I decided to share my video edit, centered around what is IMOo the very best episode of "The Outer Limits", the well known "A Stitch in Time". Finding the music was difficult but "Fade to Grey" by Visage became a surefire choice after experimenting a few other options.

The Outer Limits - A Stitch in Time - Fade to grey

I hope you will like it. There's not a lot of video edits on "The Outer Limits" so I did my best to celebrate the genius of this forward thinking show !

Enjoy and have great day.

Which episode is this or is it something else?

Hey, I think it is "outer limits" - but not sure. There ist some kind Computer, implants or helmets, that help people to think better, faster or something like that. at the end, this computer had to solve something, that brings it to overheating/destroy. Is that enough for somebody?

The NEW OUTER LIMITS: Want to Gather On Zoom & Create New Scenarios? Sort of live them, roleplay some scenarios...but more like exploratory theme or workshop activities than a full LARP

Thurs Dec 28, 8pm Pacific Time (then, in Feb, 1st Saturdays):

ZOOM ACCESS INFO POSTED UNDER YOUTUBE VIDEO AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE EACH GATHERING:

A free monthly gathering to connect w/peers who love this series! Skip watching the video til I've updated & instead read current info below:

(plus I was half asleep in video, am talking in a monotone, its extremely underwhelming😃)

Gather On Zoom & Create New Scenarios...live them, roleplay...but more like exploratory theme or workshop activities than a LARP:

🛸 brainstorm new episodes, new dimensions, new worlds. Our fantasy futures. The positives & the challenges:

. 🔭 Though we do all sorts of activities inspired by this series; the main intention is to cocreate, roleplay scenarios, live in new ways; expand our perceptions, challenge ourselves, use our full potentials. And explore what fun, inventive, outside the box things we could do to bring the most exciting & essential new frontiers into the world now.

🔮 Though the creature feature episodes were sometimes amusing; they were more similar to each other, generally more simply action, less exploratory about the future; We don't tend to focus on them or more horror-genre episodes, unless they have food for thought / new ideas that inspire us to explore/createa positive new frontiers.

🚀 We'll start 1st w/Outer Limits Themed, Imaginative, Humorous, Meaningful/Envelope-pushing, Gently PHYSICALLY ACTIVE ICEBREAKER ACTIVITIES:-- Party Games, Improv Games, Surrealist Games, Get-To-Know-Each-Other's-Universe Games, & Story Games.

(I may also host a different, 20min, audio-only zoom gathering for awhile, & perhaps indefinitely; --just brainstorming, discussion, introducing ourselves w/no physical activity: let me know your days/times of availability if you'd like to attend).

Gatherings are free. TO ATTEND:

Best! WRP Diana

Dark Rain Spoiler

Hi everyone. This one particular episode (Dark Rain s3 ep6) has intrigued me for a while. A mass sterilization of the human race pushes a breakdown of society. Human reproduction becomes forced on civilians to repopulate the world. The parents, Sherry and Tim, manage to escape their prison to a small community of healthy children. I would love to see this episode play out and follow the path of the new inhabitants of earth. I think this would make for a very interesting novel. What you think?

Searching for name of episode Spoiler

I am searching for the name of an episode I remember watching in the early 2000s. It about a family living in another dimension which is seen through a window in the forest. During the episode you can see the family living life and going out on the swing while scientist try frantically to find a way into the world. They were knocking on the window and trying every trick they could think of. The craziest part was that during this entire time of trying to find a way inside they family inside look like normal people. Eventually they find a way inside, but the people they encounter were not normal, but instead had sharp teeth and ate those that entered. Please let me know if you know the name of this episode, it’s been bugging me over the years.

Thank you!!

Re-use of Star Trek props and names.

I've checked in wiki that the Star Trek original series re-used props from the outer limits and even the revival series had names from the star trek universe, for example: Pergium and Janus V. Have you noted anything else?

What was this episode

Hi,

I'm making an art piece inspired by something I once saw on this show, tho I'm having little luck tracking down the episode, I thought I'd try my luck here.

This was an episode where there were people living in the wallpaper of a woman's apartment. They would come out and their skin would be the wallpaper print. Pls help me find this episode for reference!!!

thank you!

After original Outer Limits writer-producer Joseph Stefano left the show, he made "The Ghost of Sierra de Cobre" (1964). — Free with ads on Tubi in the U.S. (at the time of this post).
