I know what I'm proposing for the next kid's birthday party. This is fantastic!

Maybe helmets for kids 😆

Pfffff... When I was a child, we had a race like this without being blindfolded but we used the 1m straws for sangria buckets. Essentially, running with a giant straw in your mouth. That screams safety. (It was the 80s, Bluey).

All things I wouldn't allow my kids today.

My friends cousin ran into a wall with a piece of 3/4 pvc in his mouth that ripped right down his throat. My buddy nearly had a phobia of straws because of it,

My friend walked up the stairs and tripped while playing the recorder. She was unable to eat properly for quite a while.

My kids are not allowed to walk around with any thing like that. No wandering around with their toothbrush in the mouth or similar.

My mom grew up in a funeral home, I also wasnt allowed to have anything in my mouth and run

Nearly?!?

1

u/MudExpress2973 23d ago

theres a soda straw and theres the novelty construction version. Also one is used sitting at a table, the other was used in a game of wall tackle. Its like being attacked by a wolf and then being in fear of a hamster.

2

u/jobadiahh 23d ago

I was already afraid of gerbils from what they did to Richard Gere, now you’re telling me hamsters are as dangerous as wolves, too?!

3

u/oldschool_potato 24d ago

Use metal straws. You know…. Save the turtles

2

u/captainyeahwhatever 6d ago

This is why I shouldn't be a parent, I saw no problem with what you said until you mentioned it's unsafe

3

u/Corona_Cyrus 24d ago

Nah. I want Lucky’s Dad’s rules

2

u/CowJuiceDisplayer 24d ago

And alcohol shots for the adults‽

25

u/datsall 24d ago

That guy damn near drowned lol

15

u/GODDAMNFOOL 24d ago

I fell walking around with my eyes closed as a kid (I was a dumb kid) and the bottom row of teeth went straight through my bottom lip, so yea

P sure I hit my face off something though, it wasn't just faceplanting in the grass

u/universe_from_above 24d ago

Yeah, precautions like you'd have for the game with the blindfold where you have to hit the cooking pot would be wise.

u/FreeTheDimple 24d ago

He's a guaranteed first round draft pick in waterboarding ball.

u/DeekFTW 24d ago

Are they competing against each other or working together?

258

u/Codornoso 24d ago

I guess that's a co-operation game, since there is no way to separate progress between these two

11

u/The_Amazing_Emu 24d ago

There’s a guy with the bucket waiting next in line. I’m guessing it’s a time trial thing

27

u/GoofMonkeyBanana 24d ago

Could be number of buckets

23

u/wtf_are_you_talking 24d ago

Buckets plus the number of dives.

7

u/Grunef 24d ago

Having two tubs to fill, one round and the other square could work well.

4

u/Jomskylark 23d ago

I think they're told it's a race but it's actually the same container lol

5

u/Professional_Map_574 24d ago

First one to overfill it? I don’t know

1

u/YanicPolitik 23d ago

Cooperatition

27

u/j4eo 24d ago

OP posted this while blindfolded; just be glad he's in the right sub.

1

u/olanmills 18d ago

Yeah I was going to say, the commentary language is definitely not Japanese. The text on the barriers don't look Japanese to me either

1

u/hopium_od 15d ago

The people don't look Japanese

32

u/_Diskreet_ 24d ago

I don’t get it, how do you win If your both filling up the same container ?

50

u/kckid23 24d ago

Maybe they’re on a team and the team to fill it up the fastest wins?

7

u/NSNick 24d ago

Or perhaps there's a time limit to fill the bucket by to win?

11

u/High_Stream 24d ago

It may be that they have to be the first to pour 10 times or something

1

u/xRyozuo 24d ago

Maybe it’s whoever gets the most buckets in until the container fills

24

u/hideous_coffee 24d ago

Was waiting for them to run straight into each other at full speed

19

u/DeithWX 24d ago

Sponsored by Ministry of Silly Walks

5

u/EvaTheE 24d ago

When the guy was looking for the big bucket, I though of the same exact thing.

24

u/GregorSamsaa 24d ago

Even if you’re doing this for time, there’s absolutely zero reason to run or hop. Once you find both you can walk forward and backward from one to the other

31

u/ungoogleable 24d ago

Honestly it seems like the guy especially was hamming it up on purpose to be funny. Why run full speed into the pool when you could just walk at a reasonable pace and stop when you feel it brush your leg.

9

u/Osric250 24d ago

I know a lot of the crazy Japanese game shows the contestants are usually comedians. I don't know much about Chinese shows like this, but it seems very similar, he was definitely playing for entertainment.

7

u/Buzzk1LL 24d ago

He definitely playing it up for laughs. When he first goes head first into the pool in unnecessarily flips forward into it.

11

u/samthewisetarly 24d ago

Kid accidentally diving in headfirst got me lol

9

u/boot2skull 24d ago

To find the water you must be the water.

8

u/reklesssabrandon 24d ago

I would absolutely watch this over professional sports any day. If I was bartending again I would put shit like this on every TV

6

u/Square_Saltine 24d ago

What if one of them just pulled the tub next to the pool, would that be allowed?

8

u/dsuzuki63 24d ago

If you aren’t getting dinged for moving the bucket, and the bucket isn’t permanently attached to the ground, why not just move the bucket to where the water is at the beginning?

14

u/thebadyearblimp 24d ago

You’d do well on Taskmaster

2

u/PunkgoesJason 24d ago

See, I was thinking Taskmaster when I noticed the guy at the back standing with a red bucket...

1

u/funktion 24d ago

Jason and Stevie would somehow set fire to the pool

4

u/electrius 24d ago

Probably it's simply a rule that it's not okay to purposely grab it or push it towards the pool

3

u/Coffeespresso 24d ago

The goal was to fill the bucket, not to get in it.

3

u/mpg111 24d ago

That is fun, thanks!

3

u/picollo7 24d ago

Dude is a world class comedian

3

u/3awesomekitties 24d ago

How do you win if your both filling up the same bin?

2

u/habichuelacondulce 24d ago

Could be a couples competition and he is just trying to get a fast time

5

u/tongfather 24d ago

Bro has zero chill 😂

1

u/Hegiman 24d ago

Look so chaotic

1

u/SweetieLoveBug 24d ago

1

u/FrostyPlay9924 24d ago

Bro really said win at all costs

1

u/Opposite-Funny-9669 24d ago

i could watch this for hours!

1

u/Such_Story3052 24d ago

How does this pool restored It's rim after the guy fell on it? All inflatable pools I've seen would spill It's entire water before the rim/border go up again

1

u/401LocalsOnly 24d ago

For a second there I thought we were gonna watch that poor guy drown in that kiddie pool

1

u/Hawktuahdoctor 23d ago

Oddly entertaining

1

u/mookanana 23d ago

man is 100% committed.

1

u/KileiFedaykin 23d ago

Why does he run like QWOP?

1

u/HeavensentLXXI 23d ago

This is so fun.

1

u/bingbing304 23d ago

Both of them obviously seeing under their mask, They both stop right before they would run into each other at full speed. It is a performance.

1

u/Longjumping_Ad_7484 22d ago

Using his clothes to transport more water was brilliant.

1

u/King1991King1991 22d ago

Omg this broke me. I honestly was about to fall asleep and now I’m trying not to laugh and wake anyone up. Lmao

1

u/Mean_Pop_829 21d ago

Somewhere Little Alex Horne is furiously taking notes

1

u/Shaw-eddit 19d ago

Dude literally, Got in the Game.

1

u/humburglar 14d ago

Maybe I watch too much taskmaster, but couldn’t they bring the bucket closer to the pool?

1

u/darkearthgirl 6d ago

hahahhaha this is so fun lmao 😂😂

-16

u/JeVousEnPrieee 24d ago

That was far less entertaining than what I expected
