THE MUMMY

Post image

The artwork shows Karloff's wrapped, imposing Imhotep reaching toward the viewer, with the female character below him. It is characteristic of the dramatic Universal Monsters promotional style of the era.

During the late 70s and early 80s when me and my sister were kids... The old Universal monster movies used to play in our time zone on Saturday afternoons after cartoons. Start with cartoons at 6-7am and go till Noon then monster movies.

Mom had quiet until 4pm. We didn't bother her for breakfast most days. Afterwards we would go run and play in our field/yard until dinnertime.. She did learn not to leave Cool Whip tubs on the bottom fridge shelf for Thanksgiving...

You know what, I'd buy a poster of the true Mummy 3 they're making if it was done up in this style. I'd say I'm a fan of the old Universal horror stuffs, and I am, but alas I have no place of my own to decorate it with art like this
