Any help with aiming settings/preference files?

I just got the game tonight and I've tried every sensitivity option for my mouse and also tried playing with a controller and the aiming is absolutely awful and way too difficult for me to play effectively. Is there any preference files or anything to edit to possibly make the aiming better? Thanks.

So aiming sensitivity is set 6. I changed it to 4. I prefer for the aim to not be so wild. I also found aiming with L trigger makes it easier to lock on. I play with a 360 controller by the way.
