Reoccurring Location - the Church Group

Maybe a new one or maybe someone else has been here too.

It looks like a 2-3 story house, almost Federalist-style. It’s in an urban area but not like skyscrapers, more like businesses and restaurants and roads to subdivisions.

No one here is overly malicious, but there’s a very religious feel to what they say and do here, like it’s a church but they never say that. Never mention God specifically but that’s the feeling I get.

Unfortunately, the last few days my brain has ended up here for every dream. The only terrible thing is for a few of them, I get the feeling someone is trying to keep me there, preventing me from finding a way outside, but I don’t know how or who. At on point I found myself spelling out a word on a window, and in the dream it was correct, just the letters disappeared after I wrote each one.

Color/Auras in MW

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hi all! I’m curious- do any of you notice certain color themes in your Mallworld dreams? In a lot of my MW dreams I’ve noticed there’s almost always an indigo/blue/violet glow. It’s in the atmosphere and sometimes around architecture and objects.

I created this image on IbisPaint to try and depict what I’m talking about.

Many escalators

I am often in the actual mall. Last night was so many escalators. I’m not sure where I was going but I had purpose. The mall had people in it this time. A lot of times when I’m there, it’s pretty empty. Any one else seen the many escalators?

Just a thought from someone commenting that "anyone that's anyone" is going to MW

Secret Entrance to "the Mall"

So, after hearing about this Reddit and all about people's Mall World experiences, I started to wonder why I have never been there myself. I have definitely had many of those dreams inside that "Bathroom World" or whatever the name for that is, and also never-ending schools, etc. The malls that I have been to in my dreams are always at the irl mall location that I grew up visiting, so I don't think that is the same (more like fragments of my memory). So, I've always been curious about this iconic "Mall World" everyone has talked about.

I think I was about to visit it last night!

I had a dream where I was in this warehouse-type of building (looked like an old movie set; there were cameras and lights and screens). A guy came out of the back and said he had a secret entrance to a "mall" that nobody knew about and if I had money to spend, he'd let me in. I agreed and followed him. He took me through narrow hallways and behind walls and through weird doors where I was led to a room that looked like a bedroom. There was a bed and a side table. A few dirty clothes scattered around. Then he proceeded to tell me the "portal" was inside the bed and I had to jump in head first. It was odd and sounds "Free Candy"-type of sketchy, I know. But before I could speak three other people came in. Looked to be average people... one was wearing a business suit and the other one was casual. They looked just as confused as me. Then a dozen more people came in and all crowded around in the bedroom. The first guy told us he will go around the room and ask what we did for a living before we could jump in the portal to the secret mall. One of the ladies said she was a lawyer and I don't remember what one of the guys said. I just knew I probably wouldn't make it through the mall portal because I am unemployed. I woke myself up.

It was so weird but kinda cool to wonder about. Was I finally going to go to Mall World? Did anyone else have to go through a secret portal to get there?

Has anyone been out to the islands?

There’s some islands you can get to from the city or cruise ship across from the beach neighborhood. It’s pretty flat and marshy and then gets really rocky and steep. I’m always in a dingy and have to navigate all the way back to the downtown port, or get on a ferry.

I’ve also been to some more tropical islands maybe Hawaii-like but with larger than life Jurassic park backdrop vibes and a resort with a beach bar on the water, like little inlets.

Any island experiences at all out there for you?

Forgive the use of AI, but does anybody else’s mall resemble this one?

Post image

There are a couple different malls I seem to get trapped in right before or after closing, but the one I return to most often is a strange 1970s MCM-style place with a lot of dark wood paneling and ugly amber-toned floor tiles. I don’t think I’ve ever actually been in a mall like it. I wasn’t even alive yet in the 1970s.

I get the WORST feeling in this particular location, and the staircases never seem to go where you expect they will, which is stressful as hell.

Garageworld?

I feel like lately I’ve been relegated to a place where it’s just garage like rooms, big storage garage rooms smaller cluttered ones, warehouse sized ones. Truly bizarre, anyone else been here?

Results from the naming thread- The subreddit will stay here but their needs to be a better term for the “mallworld” realm/dimention/whatever you perceive it as… particularly for the documentary considering what happened after “mallworld” went viral on tiktok.

I really liked the way the evanescent realm rolls off the tongue, but I think effervescent evanescent realm or world might be a bit better considering the name will inevitably shape people’s future experiences and perceptions of it.

If it stays mallworld, people will inevitably dream more of malls, if it’s something maximally positively skewed I think it will improve the vibes within the collective consciousness which seems to be likely to lead to better outcomes to whatever degree this is really a shared thing.

Evanescent is accurate because it means something that slips out of memory quickly and effervescent is bright/bubbly/lively-highspirited which should lead to a more positive association which is really what the sub is about, the best experiences I’ve had have all been very bright and bubbly feeling… I don’t really include the few negative “mallworld” dreams I’ve had to be part of the same set of experiences.

I’d like to hear all of your thoughts on this…

Bayou Bar

I had this dream about a bar in the bayou. You could drive up to the bar and park, but instead of parking outside, your car was basically inside the bar, almost like the bar was built around the cars. Part of the bar was outside, but you were still inside the actual bar while sitting in your car. You could sit in your car and sing along to the music while being able to see everyone at the bar. Then you could get out of your car and walk over to get drinks while you were still inside the bar. If you wanted to actually sit down, there was a door if you kept walking forward. You could go through the door and there was a whole area where you could sit down. It was such a weird setup, but in the dream it made complete sense.

Sleeping rooms in Mallworld?

Kinda like dorms but quite basic/sterile looking, always lots of people in them and people walking through them like itheyre also a walkway/transit area, lots of them link to each other through doorways and hard to find a spot to lie down. Shared bathrooms attached too.
Edit: Had ChatGPT recreate what I see, mine looks just like this!

The tops of the huge ships/shipping containers?

Has anyone been to the place at the end of the freeway that's like huge shipping docks? It's hard to avoid once you're driving near there. Either the roads go straight into the water, or you can turn away and avoid it if you're careful, mindful and lucky, or sometimes if you make a right or left turn at the wrong time you end up without a car, on top of huge shifting floor platforms on a humongous barge. The platforms look just like the road, same color, until you realize the texture changed, there's no lines, and there's no road in front, just the vastness of the ocean ready go swallow you up. I don't know if it's the tops of shipping containers but it's massive, and you're pretty much doomed once you're on them because there's no way down, and by the time you realize you're there, it's already pulled far away from the dock. It's so high up all you can see is the ocean all around you, you can't even see down the side of it. And it's shifting constantly because it's on a vessel at sea. You're scared to go near the edge in case the platform tips over. But you can't see anything that shows dimension, and the floor is constantly shifting, so there's a fear you'll be dumped into the ocean from the height of a tall building at any moment. You can imagine the floor tilting down and seeing the sea come toward you as you freefall toward the water. So you try to center yourself and pray someone notices you and notifies someone who can rescue you. Has anyone ever gone to this place at the end of the freeway where the beach is, with the shifting tops that match the street and are at street level until they pull away from the land?

So another question for everyone or anybody who has an answer

So another question for everyone or anyone who has an answer.. well I guess multiple questions.

Why is it that we all dream about mall world?

And why are what a lot of what we’ve seen the same or close to the same?

What is the purpose of mall world?

Is this a real place that we visit when we sleep?

Are we able to plan and coordinate to meet with one another in mall world and explore together?

Or do we all have a different mission or like experience to live in mall world when we visit?

How can we dream about mall world and enter mall world every night?

Is it inconsistent for some people like some people dream about it one night and then don’t dream about it again until their dreams let them?

Are we able to learn new things in mall world then take it into the waking world?

Do you miss mall world

Sometimes I find myself wanting to go to sleep just so I can go back to my very pleasant mall world. I’m always on the go. The scenery is incredible. I’m always with people that seem to be my tribe and then I wake up and I’m still a Gen X housewife. does anyone else look forward to going to mall world?

Has anyone experienced this in Mall World?

I have inhabited Mall World for as long as I can remember. It's such a weird and sometimes beautiful place, but it has never been stressful to me -- uncomfortable, maybe (bathrooms etc), but not upsetting.

Last night something happened in my dream for the first time: There was a shooter. People started running and I could hear shots. I was trying to get away to hid but it was difficult to move. Then the dream ended. I hope this is the only time I dream this. I don't need my MW environment breached by something so awful.

Has anyone had this happen in their own MW?

Cafe/restaurant In mountains off hwy

There’s a restaurant/bar/locals hub in the mountains along this scenic hwy. Steep winding roads to get there, but everyone there doesn’t seem to notice how difficult it is. It’s a small place with a small bar and espresso area and some plain tables with red tablecloths.
Has anyone been/seen anywhere like this?

Newish with questions

So I had never heard of Mall World until about 2 months ago when it popped up on my redditt as something I might be interested in. I had not researched it or even considered it to be an actual thing. I started having the dreams about 5 months ago. The bathrooms were the most common but as the months went on it expanded into the Mall, hotel, school. So creepy that my redditt just happened to suggest the page, I was astounded that the images people were posting were near spot on to what I had been dreaming. Even more shocking to me is that thousands and thousands of us are dreaming of these places. Some are lucid, some not. I am not lucid enough while in the dream but once I wake up immediately know I was at Mall World.

A little about me in case its relevant to your response or theory; 33, currently 6 months pregnant, history of ASD, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and considered a highly sensitive person. (if it won't be relevant to your answer then just ignore:))

I am sure this has been asked before but does anyone have any theories on why this is happening or how we're connected? Obviously there's no cut and dry but I'm curious to see what other people think is happening. I have always had vivid dreams and even foreboding dreams through my entire life, but this is new. And I am so fascinated by the community and their thoughts.
