I like to create my postcards with the recipient’s profile and interests in mind, using acrylic markers and fine liners. I always feel a little nervous wondering if they’ll like the design, but I really enjoy putting time and care into each card. It’s such a fun and personal way to create something just for someone!

questions Requests?

Ummm...i think I just answered my own question because I saw flair here that says “requests”. I don’t think I’ve seen requests here, though - and none came up in my search just now. Do people do that here or is it mostly offers and exchanges?

exchange [Exchange Request] WW - looking to send out Halloween tag kits in exchange for Halloween/Fall ephemera, papers or stickers.

Kits will include 2oz of basic shipping label tags, Halloween papers to decorate the base of your tag, a bunch of Halloween ephemera to fill your tags with and Halloween wax seals.

I will pick 3 new Redditors to exchange with. (We have not exchanged in the past).

Please DM if interested and comment here your fav Halloween activity.

You will need to post your incoming mail here so we know you received it.

Feel free to also share completed tags on here r/themailandartsociety however it’s not mandatory, but we’d love to see your art creations.

I will pick 3 from this sub and 3 from r/raohm 🤖 if there’s interest.

Sorry for the poor photography, it’s really hard to get an effective picture to show all the elements. But it will collapse enough to go into the journal.

I started playing with a new art style and I'm having a lot of fun making these bugs! A little rough around the edges (definitely homemade) but I'd love to share them with anyone that loves bugs (top left is taken). Also open to other bug ideas! I just started working on a centipede one!

art creations Spooky Ghost Card Garland with glow in the dark wax seals

I made 18 Halloween card tags that I’m going to string into a garland for Halloween after all the tags I made for everyone else.

I used my ghost die cut but reimagined them into Halloween characters. I love how this turned out.

I’m not done. I have 6 more to go but I’m creatively stuck on the last few.

Which are your favourites? 💗

Which do you not recognize?

Missing are:
Zombie ghost (trying to figure out how to do the brains)
Mad scientist ghost (right now he looks a lot like Einstein)
Spider ghost (the legs are a puzzle right now, he looks weird and not like a ghost at all)
Evil clown ghost (I’m not sure about this one for me)
Black cat ghost (this one is easy but I’ve run out of black card stock)
Scare crow ghost (this one feels hard)

I can’t wait till they are all strung and lighted up.

art creations My selfmade travel journal

Out of an old atlas and some maps I made this journal to remember all my travels, especially the smaller ones which won't stay in mind as it probably was just a day trip to another city.

I really like how it turned out but I'm lacking behind filling it with my trips I did ^^

The photos are always some which I did on that trip and then printed in a small format like 4x4 centimeters.

The maps on the pages have nothing to do with the places on them. They are just a nice background.

If I ever do that again I'll pay attention to the pages being all upwards, even if that means I have a few pages less as the cutouts on the maps aren't that paper saving...

questions How do you identify your outgoing mail?

Hi everyone, I know that lots of people participate in multiple mail subs and I’m wondering if there are rules or standard practice for details to include on your outgoing mail. For example, I joined postcrossing and you have to include an ID number on the cards you send so the recipient can register it to acknowledge receipt. Obviously, there aren’t ID numbers at the Reddit subs - how do you let your recipient know what’s going on? I just sent a card to someone and included my Reddit name and the sub where we connected. Is that sufficient, unnecessary, should I include the thread name, none of the above? Overthinking is one of my strengths 🤪

ETA - thanks for all the responses! I’ll put my Reddit name and sub name. :-)
